Only 1 of them is really the whole package...

We don't acknowledge Summer Walker.

All of them do some level of acting/modeling...

Out of the new ones give me H.E.R. all day, she actually has talent (multi-instruments), can sing, and doesn't make thot music.

He broke one of the most important rules. Even if you are having technical difficulties (his ear piece) you still gotta stay committed to the performance. Sour notes and all the show must go on.
He finally heard himself sing :mjlol:

It scared the shyt outta him

So true, this CAC female from Europe had the best R&B album in 2020. It made me mad listening to this GREAT project knowing a black artists male or female are refusing to make themselves vulnerable like the greats did.

This album was a CLASSIC from track 1-14 just heat

There are a lot of capable singers. It's the market and taste makers fault. This is the generation that literally make celebrities overnight due to the internet, and yet they've never focused on the good singers around, that's because they couldn't care less about a person's singing ability.

There was a video posted here of Jorja Smith's performance, and it was so terrible, yet the audience was just having a blast in the background. If you had a time machine and took the same crowd that attended Anita Baker's or say, Phyllis Hyman and placed them in that concert, bottles would fly at 100km/h at that stage, because the Market forces dictated that you didn't need to only have a "vibe" or "image" to be a star. You needed to have the capacity to get on a stage, and sing. Showmanship doesn't matter that much for this generation, be it hip hop, rnb, pop, afrobeats, dancehall etc.
