We got Trap & B now...or us it R & Trap??

I see what the OP saying though....where is that "organic" soul music for the masses. Actually there are new artist doing more traditional soul/neosoul/R&B, but most don't get the same kind of push if they don't have a trap beat behind them..

Because a lot of these nikkas really can't sing or bring any original concept or emotion to a song.
Plus everybody is an "R&B" thug that's conviently "affiliated"..
Or
They are making EDM/Party tracks that are getting them a lot more money and exposure overseas..

Damn shame. You can't even play these songs on kids birthday parties because of the explicit lyrics and content. Editing out curses on them songs aint gonna do much either. :francis:

The "soul" has been drained out of black music and its gonna get worse since its not being given a chance to shine in the mainstream like it used to.

That's why everything sounds alike today. Young, aspiring artists are gonna copy what's being played on the radio and given mainstream looks.

Its imperative that we instill a love for older music in the younger generation. I have a 3 year old and I'm constantly playing music from "back in the day" around her.
