funny because west coast rappers have a clear southern tinge to their accent. Snoop, Nate Dogg, Cube, Warren G etc...all have clear southern tinges

Snoop, Warren and Nate and Cube don't have "clear Southern tinges".
Anyone from here knows most West Coast rappers don't have twangs and drawls. We don't enunciate words like Southerners do, adding or mispronouncing the fukk out of syllables. Whenever a rapper does some kind of bluesy melodies, it immediately reminds someone of the South. That's extremely vague and a huge generalization.
Comparisons are also made because of the low vocal register that us and Texans share due to proximity and migration. It makes sense given the "Old West" was a hybrid of mostly those in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, etc., merging with West Texans or Okies (who have the "weakest" Southern indicators for that country sound in their accents).
If you were to hear me rap, I have zero traces of sounding Southern. When Pac went over here for a career, he sounded like he was from Cali, not New York where was raised at (or Southern at all.). Listening to how all 4 of them talk they don't have Southern tinges (especially Cube transitioning from N.W.A. to to Westside Connection days), and anyone who has actively listen to their rapping knows the accents are different.
A majority of the West Coast (Seattle, Fontana, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, etc.) all have variations of that accent, and they don't sound Southern either, unless you counting their great grandparents (Who lived in Southern states and brought that).
My grandma is from Oklahoma.
Due to the huge Mexican presence there, nowadays she sounds like a blend of Colorado, and a West Texan accent. Back in her day, she sounded like an extra in "Blazing Saddles".
You'd be surprised how much we irritate the Southern region with the near perfect clarity in our accents.

so you can count him out for whatever the hell reason you threw him in here. L.A. with Cube, especially has a different inflection when compared to Long Beach where Snoop, Nate and Warren are from, regardless all 4 their accents are strictly "Californian".
or that nikka
make fun of us usually for how "professional" or "perfect" we sound for those details I aforementioned.
We often get parodied like in the last 2 (At the bottom of that link SNL is making fun of outsiders who presume all L.A. people, sound like the "Surfer Dude" in the other example above it).
