LOL this is almost as bad as the post-ether interview on hot97
....he handled this interview perfectly, why the hell u comparin his interviews with Killer Mike, Pac,Lupe,Cube,Mos Def,50 etc.....nikkas who generally wouldn't or won't be muzzled out of fear of reprocussions, either becuz they genuinley don't give a fuk or financially they know they fly under the radar and can afford to,or its just their "thing"......making money is jay thing, and knowin cacs and hatin azz nikkas is licking they chops waitin on u to say sumthin fuked up so they can then ask the president of the united states about it is reality for him
and u really askin why Jay chooses his words wisley and is slow to respond before he just says anything? When Jay speak he can lose million dollar endorsements and white house clearance
thats why
we all know what this is
Jay is a business man....he handled this interview perfectly, why the hell u comparin his interviews with Killer Mike, Pac,Lupe,Cube,Mos Def,50 etc.....nikkas who generally wouldn't or won't be muzzled out of fear of reprocussions, either becuz they genuinley don't give a fuk or financially they know they fly under the radar and can afford to,or its just their "thing"....

Honestly hip hop journalism is terrible.. It's not just with Jay, they toss soft balls to everyone and never ask any nuanced critical questions.. The problem is most of them want to be celebrities themselves, so they act like fanboys and feel like kissing up to these rappers will get them more access and exposure...
You saw how Matt Lauer sonned Kanye and had him coppin pleas over the George Bush comments? Cam and his idiotic statements on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper...As smart as some of Lupe's music is he looks like a dunce when he's ever asked to explain the meaning.. They really need to stay away from credible interviewers...Pac, Killer Mike and Bun B are the only three rappers I've seen be able to be articulate and forceful enough to hold their own..(Im sure theres others they are just the 3 stand outs that come to mind)
I would say Eminem has proven to hold his own along with the rappers you already named.
Hate to break it to everyone, but rappers on the national stage = embarrassing. Most can't communicate a coherent thought in front of a 'tough' (use that term loosely, and only in context) interviewer compared to what passes as "journalism" in hip hop

50 Cent or Pac would've been at that table confident as fukk...throwing little quibs right back. Daymond John is another one. He's not a rapper but I watch him on Mad Money sometimes when he comes on or when he's on other finance shows. He never let's those business types intimidate him. Ever. Lost a little respect here for Hov.....looking like a lil ass boy
It wasn't too bad especially when you keep in mind it's Bill Maher, who makes politicians look and sound stupid for living, interviewing a RAPPER.
yeah cuz all them nikkas aren't businessmen... Especially Cube and 50... Unless you're using "businessman" as code for something else![]()
....And those guys are businessmen but there businessmen who can't help themselves when it come to speaking they mind....Hov can help himself and see the money as the bigger picture...and no that doesn't make him less of a rapper as that's basically his persona
....maybe u can't trust shyt that he says outside the booth, but imagine me listenin to Jay interviews anyway
...on audio though
