I didn’t know this was a legit thing. I enjoy eating… I equally enjoy cooking. I’m a neat freak borderline OCD. I don’t get why things have to be this hard between the sexes. Yes I also work but to me it’s not a excuse. I refuse to starve or be in a dirty ass house soo

As far as cooking and cleaning, if you wanna be real, this is a western problem.

Women in America act like cooking and cleaning is some box they’re being put in. Like if you do that for your family you’re somehow less of a woman. You ain’t independent and all that bullshyt.

In reality cooking and cleaning should be a matter of pride. If your house is filthy and your family is unhealthy and unfed, that’s a source of shame.

But I get it now. These days you aren’t allowed to feel shame. So go on and make up some other bullshyt to hide from that.

And I’m not saying women should just cook and clean. But in America, you aren’t even allowed to ask a woman to do that shyt or else you’re branded a misogynist.

Also, if you will allow me to troll a bit, the dude who was married (im married too btw) said that there are no roles in his marriage. They’re a team.

You ever been on a team? In anything? Sports. School project. Whatever. You know that everyone has a role, right? One plays 3rd base. Another guy takes notes. Another guy researches this. Another guy plays goalie.

Roles do exist on teams. In fact, roles are what make teams work.

:troll:
Lol I'm just trying to figure out what it is that a woman can do that a man can't or apparently shouldn't because "ROLES"

Men should be doing any type of maintenance for the house. Gutters, mowing grass, raking leaves, garbage,

Cleaning shouldn't be that hard, just don't be a slob setting shyt down everywhere.
Cleaning and cooking is an everyday ordeal. Lawn maintenance is maybe every other week, and taking out the trash takes less than two minutes. Used to be cool when the woman didn't work a full time job, y'all just need to realize times have changed.

See this is why shyt is going to get ugly for between men and women with this shyt going around. My parents been married for over 40
years and they have a relationship like the light skinned dude was describing.

At the end of the day there is no wrong way or right way to handling a relationship. If men want a traditional way of how they want to handle a marriage cool but don’t be bashing nikkaz whos cool with having a partnership and sharing the load. If it works and the relationship is healthy and your kids see both parents working together than what’s the problem. You got too many single lonely ass people talking about how a relationship should work.

Also just to keep it real, most of the women i’ve dated the past 5-6 years haven’t had any issues with cooking. There are black women out in the world who still take pride in culinary arts. Like I literally CANNOT think of a time where a woman I was involved with had an issue cooking meals for us. I’ve always thought that a great compromise is if she cooks then i’ll clean up. Make it a TEAM effort. No man is going to lose his “authority” in the household by cleaning up the goddamn house. Some of ya’ll nikkas are draconian as all hell

It's just odd to me.

The strongest marriages of my peers that I know were usually help each other out when you could because it makes both of our lives easier.
It wasn't a "Because I'm a man and you're a woman, this is what I do and that's what u do. Roles"

Too many different income combos, career trajectories, and work/life balance situations to say nah fuk all that, roles.
