If anything should be taken away from last year, it's don't take on an incredible undertaking if you don't have the time/wherewithal to engage. Lupe and Joey are tougher outs. They're not as stupid as Drake is.

Also the Drake/Kendrick thing only happened because they actually don't like each other and there was a decade plus build up.

Because top, Kendrick and Dave free all said there was no issue and Kendrick apologized. Top and Dave were saying there was no smoke over the heart pt 4 not the leaked verse. So they were throwing the white flag up before that verse even leaked.

Sean also said he was literally down for whatever if there was actual beef and had things prepared.

Why Kendrick decided to scrap his verse and all of them acted like it was cool, who knows. But those are the actual facts
