If you are Kendrick, and you just took down "the top dog", released a critically aclaimed and commercially successful album, swept the grammies, performed at the Superbowl halftime show, and are now headlining a sold out stadium tour, why on god's green earth would you respond to mid-tier rappers?



Also his shyt with Drake was personal, they had a relationship that went left (mainly because of Drake's softness). It would just be for the sport with these 2 guys but there's no need to do that if you have nothing to prove. And I am a known Kendrick hater for nearly all of his solo music, I'm just being real

There’s nothing to gain battling Joey Badass. There’s no real beef there. Joey has already paid respect to Kendrick so all they’d be doing is lyrically sparring and I could see that being on the looowwwww list of priorities for Kendrick now that he’s indisputably the top guy in rap. Nobody’s questioning his skills. Nobody’s questioning his pen. Nobody’s questioning his heart. Nobody’s questioning his status. There’s nothing to prove in a head to head with Joey.

This I ain’t trying to see two homies battle. Especially after he got super disrespectful with an Enemy who would be considered a giant in the game.

Because top, Kendrick and Dave free all said there was no issue and Kendrick apologized. Top and Dave were saying there was no smoke over the heart pt 4 not the leaked verse. So they were throwing the white flag up before that verse even leaked.

Sean also said he was literally down for whatever if there was actual beef and had things prepared.

Why Kendrick decided to scrap his verse and all of them acted like it was cool, who knows. But those are the actual facts
