Thats what we’re talking about though. Lupe Vs Kendrick and Kendrick Vs Joey at the end of the day is just competition. Its probably a little deeper between Lupe and Dot (mostly on Lupe’s side) but that isn’t personal its because of competition.
Like I said, a battle between Lu and Kendrick would come down to two factors and two factors only. Skill & Strategy. And Lupe has the upper hand.
But Kendrick gains nothing from sparring with either. He’s already the king of the hill. Nobody doubts his skills or his position. He can literally do anything he wants and duking it out with a mainstream has-been and a New York MC looking to catch a buzz are the lowest end of his priorities. Dude is about to shoot a movie, probably prepping another album, more than likely ghostwriting his cousin’s second album, he’s got bigger fish to fry.
Drake never had anything to gain and everything to lose, he was a dumbass for taking the battle (great for fans and hip hop )but dumb for himself. of course rappers do what benifits them
This, lol... kendrick had much more to lose against DrakeIt's funny Drake fanboys running with the "Kendrick won't battle anyone that won't benifits him" shyt, as if battling Drake was automatically gonna benefit him. It only benefited him because he won.
If he lost against Drake that wouldn't have benefited him at all. Cause Meek Mill and Kanye sure didn't benefit from battling Drake.
Yes Lupe and Joey are way better rappers than Drake, but the stakes were much higher going against Drake than it would have been going against Joey or Lupe.
Maybe Kendrick don't battle them because he just doesn't dislike them. Maybe he called out Big Sean and Drake cause he doesn't like Big Sean and Drake. And Cole got called out cause he was doing too much corny Drake nut hugging.
I know he said they could keep it competitive and not personal, but I think we all know that was never true with him and Drake

If you dissing a rapper and they ain't responding, then just diss harder.
Start taking shots at family. Get very disrespectful. At that point, you'll be crowned the default winner on wax.
Kendrick has been far better at keeping his political opinions to himself, he only has that Mike brown comment while Lupe went like a half decade posting stupid c00n shyt on Twitter daily. Royce wasn't wrong when he said Lupe respects white people more than he loves black people.Kendrick was making questionable statements himself before he went on a “no political questions in interviews” policy.
Lupe was far more open with his questionable statements than Kendrick, this isn't a moot point.I don’t think either Kendrick or Lupe are c00ns in the sense that they loathe the very people and culture from which they hail. They’ve both made some smart/dumb nikka comments but they’ve also made some of the most poignant pro-black music of their respective eras. So whose less of a Hotep between them is a moot point.
Which is exactly why Lupe would lose, he's the more lyrical rapper, but he comes up short in every other category.A battle between Lupe and Kendrick will come down to skill & strategy.
