Lupe has to many c00n statements to win against Kendrick. He'd get embarrassed.

Kendrick was making questionable statements himself before he went on a “no political questions in interviews” policy.

I don’t think either Kendrick or Lupe are c00ns in the sense that they loathe the very people and culture from which they hail. They’ve both made some smart/dumb nikka comments but they’ve also made some of the most poignant pro-black music of their respective eras. So whose less of a Hotep between them is a moot point.

A battle between Lupe and Kendrick will come down to skill & strategy. Drake already learned the hard way that Kendrick doesn’t have enough public skeletons to expose and the public won’t believe lies regarding his character. Lupe has never been involved in any PERSONAL scandals, he’s got no kids, no wife, so its not like either could get in the mud regarding personal details. Both are certified and thorough from where they come from so neither could go the “you’re not real/street/hood enough.”

So taking nothing but SKILL & STRATEGY into account, Lupe would have the edge. He also would want it more as its apparent that he’s been holding in some resentment towards Kendrick for years now, the same as Kendrick was holding in for Drake. Lupe would make SURE that when its all said and done, no matter the popularity, the record sales, the awards or whatever, that the world would know whose the superior MC.

Thats what we’re talking about though. Lupe Vs Kendrick and Kendrick Vs Joey at the end of the day is just competition. Its probably a little deeper between Lupe and Dot (mostly on Lupe’s side) but that isn’t personal its because of competition.


Like I said, a battle between Lu and Kendrick would come down to two factors and two factors only. Skill & Strategy. And Lupe has the upper hand.

But Kendrick gains nothing from sparring with either. He’s already the king of the hill. Nobody doubts his skills or his position. He can literally do anything he wants and duking it out with a mainstream has-been and a New York MC looking to catch a buzz are the lowest end of his priorities. Dude is about to shoot a movie, probably prepping another album, more than likely ghostwriting his cousin’s second album, he’s got bigger fish to fry.
