What about my other emotions, like when a child is born with a debilitating disease, or my mother comes down with cancer, or what if I get a crippling case of depression? who am I to aim my anger or disgust at?
should that feeling be just aimed at the ether, sublimated to nothing? if so can I do that with my gratitude too?
or am I only allowed to feel gratitude?
do we have to only look at the miracle of survivors and not the calamity of disasters?

I personally wouldn't but a lot of y'alls issues stem from assigning GOD the qualities, motives, and emotions of a mere human. Also don't be so simplistic. God puts people, events, and things in our lives for a reason. Maybe you don't get it now,but God willing you'll live to see another couple of decades and that's when God will reveal himself to you or put you in a position to learn more about him. If you never truly tried to find him, then why are you surprised that you haven't found him.
