Social programs, healthcare, strict gun laws, anti-military complex, anti-for profit prison system, multiculturalism are all important to me. You're right about the lack of a black experience, and I've considered settling in Toronto.

I ain't been to Toronto since I was a kid so I can't even give an assessment. But I guess its all in what you want long term. But you can tell the difference right away when it comes to the Black experience in Canada. Not to say its non-existant, but it pales in comparison.

As for the holocaust thing, I've always been down for us - as in, Black Americans - making our own country. But that's us. I have a shared experience with black Americans, and I've never thought of that same link with Africans. I haven't been abroad to Africa, so maybe you're right. I'll take your word for it.

I've been around the world, black is black wherever you go, black is black in Salvador in Brazil, black is black in South Africa, black is black in Barranquilla, Colombia, black is black in the UK, black is black in Germany, wherever I've been, black has always been the same.

Cultures and languages may vary, but I don't view Africans differently, shared experience is in our DNA and honestly you can see African culture shine through wherever black people are -

Well I have a good job, house etc. Yea Im in debt but isnt everyone? You will always owe somebody but that dont mean you cant enjoy life and leave a legacy for your kids to follow.
