I'm reading some posts on this Boxing forum on Facebook and the topic of Floyd comes up, and Shane Langford

posts this huge novel about how Floyd ducked the best fighters most of his career LOL

The ducking STARTS years ago when Floyd was 135...
Shane Mosley,Joel Casamayor, Freitas, @ 135 then he moved up to 140 and fought Chop-Chop who was rnked #8 in the world BUT avoided Koysta, Antonio Diaz, Shamrba Mitchell, Zab Judah at that weight (though he fought him later AFTER he was K.OED by Tszyu...ALL the champs he AVOIDED except Arturo Gatti who everyone knew he was going to beat like Robinson & Hutchison did ALSO...at 147 He then fought Mitchell who is a LIFE LONG 140 AFTER he was destroyed by Kosta Tszyu! and OLD Zab after he was destroyed by Kosta AS WELL, and fought Brussless,Sosa, N'Dou and WHO are they? NOBODY at 147 he fought an OLD oscar at 154 but never planned on defending that title so a guy who obtains a title CANT BE CHAMPION unless he defends it, so really when he vacated it to AVIOD WINKY WRITE after he ALREADY MENTIONED his name after the Smarba Mitchell fight 14 Months before vacated that 154 strap so that basically made it a HOAX of a title no more than a publicity stunt! He then faces a younger and smaller Ricky Hatton and stopped him in TKO fashion which nobody expected but a much smaller man altogether then he RRETIRES after many believe he DUCKED Manny Pacquiao,Paul Williams and Margarito And the then still very dangerous Cotto and comes back to face the #2 P4P in the world who was a LIFE LONG 135 Lightweight legend Juan Marquez! BEFORE he hooked up with BALCOs VICTORE CONTE(you can look up his BALCO conection and history right here on the world wide web... Fights Ortiz who won a strp but never defended it himself and then Sugar Shane NOT after he TKOed Margo but AFTER he looked bad vs Mora at 39 YEARS OLD! Floyd is the king of Cherrypicking not the king of boxing...

he fought some good guys too like Castillo and corals!! BUT he started ducking and cherrypicking them all after the TOUGH fight with Castillo.

Floyd is a boxing genius ....he knows he's not has good has ..say Ray leonard or Duran....so he picks the right fights....or CHERRY picks has its commonly called. You wont ever see him fight the best in there PRIME because he will NOT fight the best unless they are on the down side. He will never be the best ever BUT because he RAN from todays best and fought the guys that were beatable(not to say they were not good...) but he DUCKED the KILLERS. And good for him. But he's not the GOAT of even close....he ran from that chance...many times.

THANK YOU!!!!! Ive been saying all this for years-not as a Pacman stan, not as a Floyd hater, but just a FAN of the sport. I follow everything that has been going on in the sport since the 90s. Most of what hes saying is true.

Im sure you guys will say youre NOT Floyd stans as well. I know this is a internet forum where people endlessly discuss things but im at work and not up for going back and forth on this. Thats what we did last week. Seems the Mayweather is a ducker/Pacquiao is on steriods debate will never die. So ill just encourage ya to pick a Mayweather opponent. Then look at the year and division in which he fought said opponent. Then, look up the ratings for that division in the year in which Floyd fought said opponent. Then youll see where the opponent was ranked (if at all), and who was #1-3 in that division at the time. #factsonly

I dont know what Mosley was rated p4p in the ring magazine in 2010. If you'd like you can look that up and post a pic since im sure the Pac stans will assault you if you dont have facts. What I will say is this (#factsonly)-

Mosley fought Margarito 1/24/2009. Afterwards, he attempted to secure a fight with Mayweather, and Mayweather said no.

Mosley then scheduled a bout with BERTO for 1/30/2010. Berto withdrew due to the earthquake in Haiti TWO DAYS BEFORE THE BOUT. It was then that Floyd agreed to fight him, and they did fight on 5/1/2010....

So in many experts/critics minds, Mosley was overtrained for the Mayweather fight cuz he had a full camp for Berto and then it was cancelled 2 days prior and 4 months later he was in the ring against Floyd. The body needs time to heal. So Mayweather fought a version of Mosley that not only was overtrained, but was coming off a year and a half long layoff at the age of 38
