Klinsman has said when the inner-city kids start playing soccer is when US will be a world power.

MLS need to follow MLB urban youth academy. Focus on the inner city and teaching them the game. Hopefully the love it and commit to soccer team youth academies. I'm not saying U.S. will overtake Brazil, but at least they could at least constantly competitive.

You'll get better with the influx of South Americans migrating to the US. As long your grassroots coaching is good and you can get kids to feel patriotic enough to want to represent the US and not wherever their parents came from, you'll become a force.

Football, basketball, and baseball are always going to take up the majority of attention and resources because they are homegrown American sports for the most part.

If football ever goes through some catastrophic collapse, soccer will probably see a huge boost.

I'm a massive American soccer follower/believer/supporter and I don't even know myself. Eventually. Like concise said, a minnow 20 years ago and now we're top 20. Watch the World Cup this year to find out.

USA is currently ranked #13. Highest they have ever been is #6.
