Will buying a new router fix my comcast slow internet problem?

Using a router as a bridge is the way to go. There's literally only 1 or 2 good range extenders on the market

I'm downloading 2.3GB movies on my phone in like 12-15 mins I think...it be @2.3mb-3.8mbs downloading. I can't imagine downloading at the other speed.

Those DORY modems comcast gives to customers are HORRIFIC. Range issues, connectivity issues and firmware issues. And that X1 platform is the WORST cable box you could ever out in your house. With Comcast, buy your OWN modem/gateway

So, since we're taking about speeds and routers, I have a question

I have two routers, both netgear, and a Motorola modem (need to upgrade for DOCSIS 3.0, current is 2.0)

OK, hooked directly into my modem, I get around 30Mbps

My new router (Netgear n300), wired, only gives me 10Mbps no matter what

My old router, wired, gives me up to 25Mbps

Any tips on how to get my router up to speed?

Already tried twirking the MTU, and that didn't work

Also, if you are running that Kaspersky, that can slow your service down big time because of the phishing filter. Make a service call mane

Even more, if you are using the newest edition of Kasp, every site you go to actually passes through some filter site that hey have before the page will even load.

I upgraded it and my browsing became so slow i was like ...

But found this out going to their forums...

I've been using it for about 8 years and it is solid...and i changed some of the settings...but browsing is still what i would call "slow"

Gonna be looking for and testing other internet security apps wile i am supposed to be working today

Get atleast a N750 router for a gigabit connection and you really need to get a DOCSIS 3.0 modem to get everything to its potential.

Really light on your system (whole program is like a 1MB) but it has phishing protection but it isn't nearly as annoying as Kaspersky.

Downloading torrents. Also downloading porn using Ant downloader for Firefox. As soon as I saw that my internet speed had improved I downloaded a gloryhole swallow compilation video shyt is 3.42gb tho lol. So I'll have awhile

a while as in 15 minutes? I download NBA games which are like 3-5gigs in about 15-20 minutes

problems like this is why i download more ram at least once a month.

Do you have an unlimited data plan or some shyt.

Wifi connection at the house. Everything in the house is wireless lol
