Sucks that i got the 10000 jab achievement the other day and now the game hitches everytime I throw a jab. Made it unplayable unless I restart the game with a new profile and fight like manny pacquiao and not use a jab. That's probably why he's on the select screen. :mjcry:.

I think the whole moving, blocking, leaning and parry defense system needs to be overhauled as a whole because boxers really don't fight like that, but it'll be hard to replicate that in a game

lower your expectations...no way they can replicate boxing to the degree im thinking you are expecting....without taking away a lot of user control. 2k did this for years and it kind of ruined the game for a little while.

I have no issue with the leaning, blocking (except them needing to go back to everything manual instead of letting the cpu determine if you block the head and body automatically) and REGULAR punching.

Parrying i definately agree....they need to get rid of that altogether.
Get rid of the ridiculous haymaker system.

They need to get back to where fight night 2004 was with moving blocking. Make the stamina system REALLY deep...make it so you lose stamina even when you dodge/lean excessively. Make it all technical boxing with REGULAR punching. Making "power" punches more taxing on your stamina so it encourages users to not throw them as much. Make everything manual...from the position of your blocking to the position of your punches. Make it so you can move forward in short "burts" forward while bobbing...instead of just being able to walk forward weaving left and right like a robot. They really had a good base started with fight night 2004 i just wished they wouldve built on top of that without adding all that crazy haymaker and parrying bullshyt.

none of this will happen... not cause they can't... but because what i like to call being real vs being fun

name any sports game... it does not have the pacing or timing or end stats like the real game...

imagine this game with a mayweather like fight... 400-500 punches the whole fight

or a match where the ref gotta break up a clinch at least 4-5 times a round

or landing 50-60 percent of your punches and they all come in 4-5 spurts then you run around for a little

yea it'd be real as fukk.. and true boxing fans would love it... but the public wouldn't love it anymore than they'd love avg 3.4 yards a carry on madden or shooting 40% on 2k.. and fight night already had a hard enough time getting the public to demand another one

some of the stuff you are saying has nothing to do with what i said though lol. I think the things i mentioned can be pulled off without HAVING to have realistic punch stats. What people fail to realize is that the stats will only look realistic if the users fight that way. Im all about control and gameplay....before anything else. Imo Fight night 2004 had the base of everything i said they were just missing key elements and that game was very successful from what i can remember. The game would still be fun with the things i said....imo.

Im not one of those guys trying to chase "stats looking like real life stats" for the sake of looks.....i want a game to control great and have realistic STRATEGY. People will never be happy if they are chasing every match to look like the real life match down to the stats and percentages...thats a battle you can never win unless everybody plays exactly like that instead of just playing to win the match. Real strategy is fun to me you dont have to OD on everything. I honestly would take a upgraded fight night 2004 graphically with these following upgrades.

Moving while blocking like i explained.
stamina depleting with excessive bobbing and weaving.
the knockout dummy animations toned down.
More fighters.

.......then with every installment after that just make tweaks and make the career mode deeper and deeper every release.

I hate to be that guy, but I don't think this rumor is true. Here's a comment left from the article below:

Between this series and waiting for another NFL 2K game, shyt is just overall terrible being a sports fan now, especially growing up in the 90's where there were a bevy of options in ALL of the sports genres.

Nah, it could happen today, the key is that it would need to happen on the PC first and then be ported to the consoles after.

If there were a PC boxing game it would be a lot more realistic than Fight Night.

Why can't another video game publisher create a boxing series? EA won't ever do it again, so just get someone else to do it.
