Could anybody picture Hulk showing up on Raw and giving a heartfelt teary apology in front of a live audience? What would the audience reaction be like? How long of a wait would there have to be for this to happen.

As a guy who grew up idolizing everything Hulkamania stood for I really feel like this is a part of me that died. A lot of the philosophy of training hard, being honest, not giving up and staying away from vices shaped me. Even though I would later on know that the real Terry Bollea wasn't half that man I still appreciated his presence. Those post reality show years did a number on Hulk Hogan, even to the point of possible suicide. Every week something was going down that TSC tacked on the L's in that Hogan L thread so it was refreshing to have seen Hogan going to church humbled and back in good graces with WWE to the point where he was an ambassador and TSC celebrated his accomplishments and appreciated the legend he created. And all of a sudden a relic of that time period comes back out of no where and destroys his legacy and hurts so many people who believed in the character of Hulk Hogan. I personally believe people can say things that they don't really mean that doesn't define them when it comes from a place of anger. I do not know Terry as a person to know if those comments truly represent him I pray to God they don't.

A little background on my self my mother crossed the border from Guatemala and got knocked up by a married Italian guy. I was raised by a single mother and never gave a crap about identifying as any race or ethnicity. But i'll never forget in the early days of AOL chatrooms as a young teen going in to an Italian chat room and I posted my picture. I was called a spic who didn't belong and wasn't one of them. That I looked like i could be part N word. The funniest was someone saying I looked like Oprah and Bruce Lee had a baby :mjlol:.
I remember how much that hurt and how I could never do that to anybody to make someone feel inferior because of being different.

So it hurts that Hulk Hogan who's life was saved by Leila Ali and was Dennis Rodman's best man and who's had millions of poor African Americans idolize him could speak with such vitriol and superiority about how a black person isn't good enough for their daughter...that fukking sucks man!

But I still don't want to believe that is what defines him as a human being and I pray that he isn't the same person and is one day able to make amends with himself society and his fans someway somehow. All of us human beings are complicated with a range of emotions and there are times we aren't our best. I won't abandon Hulkamania or erase the memories but this is a life lesson that no human is infallible and the only person who you can trust is yourself and even you will let yourself down from time to time.

God bless love my Coli fam

He's done. After he dies, I'm pretty sure that they'll lighten up a little bit but he only has himself to blame for his downfall.

The more I hear about this I think Hogan gave Vince the heads up that shyt was gonna get ugly because he knew what was on that tape

I doubt he'll ever be on tv with WWE again until he dies but I wouldn't be surprised if they still cut him a check even right now

Hogan basically helped Vince get to where he is today and I'm willing to bet they are just doing this to save their image

Hogan if he wins his lawsuit could make hundreds of millions so he probably chalks all this up as collateral damage to get paid

Yeah/Nah. He can do whatever he wants, and be brotherly from this point in. But his past is in serious question because it will make you wonder how many minorities did he fukk over during his time.

it seems like people who are bitter with him from the past were mostly white...so if he was a shytty person he didn't discriminate with burying or screwing over.

It all boils down to in my opinion this stupid silly interracial dating thing with their own children that people in all races can be guilty of. Hogan's rant was the quintessential stereotypical white guy I fukk with the nice black people but fukk the n words from the rap videos who are broke...he tried to justify his racism by segmenting it with just the "bad" black people

none of it is justified but its probably common in most white people unfortunately...in fact I wouldn't be shocked if most white people feel this way including latin people because i've heard these sentiments from my own family

These celebs need to realize we're in a different time now. They're better off assuming any and everything they do is being watched and recorded.

The fact is would he be apologizing if he didn't get caught.

of course not but we really wouldn't know if his stances changed since or if it was anger that brought that out of him at the moment and there wouldn't be an apology because we wouldn't have known that side of Hogan...looks like most people who worked him didn't and he felt comfortable in that moment to spew his inner thoughts and most of the E from his era have probably said the same and worse in private conversation, they just weren't stupid enough to bang their friend's wife who was begging them to do it and unknowingly get filmed

look at all the stories about Vince and telling carlito to spic it up and having to use Asian porn to justify hiring one

Define "redeem"

There's a pretty sizable part of the audience that would cheer and cry with him if he showed up Monday with a teary eyed "Gosh you guys" speech but that doesn't ok his mindset, that's not a "oh that was the past" like some reformed party girl's behavior. A rant like this is real indicative especially at his age

We live in a rather forgiving society in general with celebs who have said and done some FUKKED UP SHYT like he did and Hogan has over 30 years of positive memories cache built up.

He needs to go away quietly honestly. Let nostalgia "redeem him" because words can't/won't, that was some deep rooted type of shyt he said and it's a stain you can't just wash off with one I'm so sorry you guys only after being caught.

Matters how you feel about Muhammad Ali for saying the same shyt in different context.

This is fair...He does need a genuine moment of humbling live on Raw in my opinion and then he can state that he won't ever appear in wrestling again

@Slystallion personally i come from an interracial family Jamaican & Irish and i'm just going to share why i don't hate Hogan for this.

I honestly believe Hogan was in the worst moment of his life back when he made that sex tape and said that shyt.

His daughter Brooke was dating a rapper who is smaller than her physically and he was mad about that.

Being an old man from Tampa Hogan obviously grew up around racism everywhere.

I honestly think he believes the N-word is just regular shyt.

Persoanlly i call white people crackas (cac) that i don't like so maybe i'm just as racist as Hogan.

I assume Booker posted that on twitter because of what Hogan said in this Whoo kid interview.

bu bu but they can call me the n-word but i can't call them it.....

You've probably seen the racism on both sides of the family but you don't disown them you just chalk it up to ignorance. And yeah I feel Hogan was just in his feelings about Brooke dating someone not on her level and was salty the guy's father took control of her career and used words he used to convey his anger. But when dealing with black people he's known personally and has a place in his heart for he would never describe them in such a way or feel like that...

human nature is stupid and complicated like that
