I think he will release something next year.. The days of getting a Jay-Z album every year or two are over though. The nikka has a family and a lot of other stuff that seems to be taking up his time and are a higher priority.
So many hating ass nikkas in this thread...
Rap is the only genre where we hate on legends like this, even if we aren't checking for an artist or their music anymore. :francis:

Yeah I think I can leave this thread...:snoop:

There's too many classic records on the black album that I can play to this day in front of large groups of people and they'll react.

Justify my thug is the only dud that shouldn't have been on the album

it's funny you say this (what i bolded) because that's my favorite from the album. outside of psa and allure :martin:

and yeah, sure there are quite a few records (99 problems, encore, psa) you can still play and get a great reaction from people when they hear some of those singles but songs like "change clothes" dirty off your shoulder", "what more can i say" just sound cheesy and corny now. the 1st 2 singles i mentioned weren't all that to begin with really, not in my opinion :yeshrug:

but back to justify my thug, the production on that song is so damn underrated and overlooked that it's funny. quik put in some really really great work, miles ahead of what everyone else was doin' on that album :wow:

Just blaze will tell you himself......Ignorant shyt should have been on the album and justify my thug shouldn't have.

Allure gets a huge response in the club.

ye is too experimental at this stage
and he was the last relevant artist jigga could mesh with

he might have to accept that his day is done
he doesn't do the poetic/spoken word/smooth jazz rap like esco
that's the type of sound that is natural coming from an og

jigga music wise has a tendency to try and go for what's hot in the game(or at least what he thinks is hot)
hopefully he understands the game is for us youth

hopefully he just chills

I am a fan of HOV but he shouldn't drop an album if it sounds like Magna Carter....the idea of how he released was interesting but the music wasn't...only a few decent tracks! it sounded lazy as fukk.

He needs to re-focus and make something of substance.

Hov should stop trend hopping the southern shyt, keep the features to a minimum, and have Just Blaze do the shyt. He can keep the grown man subject matter, just try for him to not sound forced with it.
