LBJ is already 2nd all time on my list. But MJ seems insurmountable. Once MJ went 6 for 6 in the finals and won Finals MVP for all 6, that was a wrap. No one player has CONSECUTIVELY (keyword) dominated a decade with titles quite like MJ. Hate on Oldheads all you want, but MJ's mythology was well-deserved. Who wins 3 consecutive, leaves the game, and comes back and wins 3 more like he never left? Key word here is consecutive. When you win consecutively like MJ did, that leaves no doubt in the minds of the fans who can conjure up arguments of luck...

Greatness to me is a combo of stats AND hardware.

MJ's combo of playoff stats, winshares, and hardware just seems insurmountable.

No and that's not a terrible thing...it's crazy how dude will arguably go down as Top 3-5 ever and people still want to act as if he's failure for not topping Mike as the greatest ever...dude lived up to his hype...he changes franchises, still regarded as the best or one of the best in the league after 14 seasons.. and is still competing for NBA titles...let dude live and quit trying to shyt on him for not being Mike.....

You forgot that Nike/ESPN/ABC was begging us to "Witness" LeBron.

You forgot that he called himself "The Chosen One" while rocking the saintly #23.

You forgot that he called himself the "best basketball player in the world" while failing to bring home the chip.

You forgot that he formed super-teams and still BARELY won his chips, despite being the "leader" of overwhelming favored teams.

You forgot that he put himself on the NBA's Mount Olympus while simultaneously leaving off Bill Russell, the single greatest champion the game has ever seen :billrusselloldheadstare:

Honestly, fukk LeBron's hype. If he didn't gass himself up throughout his entire career, he'd have a better argument for GOAT player.

No. If he were to beat the warriors for a ring it'll be much closer of an argument but it'd still be no. He'd have to win another 2 to even make it a conversation worth having. I believe he's top 5 with potential to be top 3

Not a chance. But settling for top 5 isn't bad:obama:
Exactly. It's crazy how everybody is measured against MJ but when nobody can surpass him, they're looked at as failures or they didn't do enough.

LeBron's had an unbelievable career and still has more chapters to write. Even if he doesn't win another title, his legacy is cemented as an all-timer.

This. And not only that MJ changed his game up to make up for declining athleticism. Lebron is a freak but he's been in the league A LONG time especially considering he goes deep in the postseason every year. He's gotten better but dude basically has the same game he did at 19

Also MJ got him on the sneakers too:lolbron:

But yea he's definitely top 5
