When Sony no longer requires developers to provide support for older consoles and only develop for the PS5 how will devs code for the Scorpio AND the og XB1? Will they have to release yet ANOTHER next gen console?

This incremental upgrade thing done fukked up the game, both companies should've just kicked off the next generation and called it a day :patrice:

You're looking at this wrong. On pc new gpu's come out every year. Consoles usually had upgrades too, we just called them add-ons. Add-ons would be the logical step but in Microsoft's case it was always believed they would just make a PC that doubles as a console.

So to answer your question, the ps5 will not release any time soon. No earlier than 2020, I'd put money on 2021 :francis:

Microsoft, they can release consoles on their time now just like how Nintendo does it. Xbox Scorpio is essentially a next gen system so they not thinking of a new Xbox until 2021-22 range. Between now and then we will see Xbox VR, Xbox hololens, and an affordable version of illumiroom :blessed:

What cpu/ gpu you lookin at?
CPU i will probably go with AMD so - a RYZEN 1700 probably

I am planning to build sometime this December, so, that means AMD will have a GPU out ready to go.

So, i guess i will be going AMD all the way . It's nice knowing that INTEL prices are going down..

for GPU - it is toss between the 1080 TI or VEGA from AMD (it's not out as of yet but should be out in a few months ? ) .

I have patience.

prices will drop for certain things by December.

Yeah, same, RAM prices have tripled since last September cuz of smartphone manufacturers, same with ssds, December should be much better, plus holiday sales. When does Vega drop?

AMD Vega 10 & Vega 11 GPUs should be out in MAY 2017.

I agree. December should be a good month to build a new computer. Even now is a good time but i have the patience. I prefer AMD over INTEL because i have been using INTEL for the last decade or so. INTEL is so good at making things expensive when not need. It's good that they reduced some of their prices because AMD.

I need a good CPU and GPU for multi-tasking such as streaming, recording, content creation, programming, video editing, converting, and using expensive software.

I been gaming on the consoles for a while now but my last console was the ps3. I use my android phone for gaming but those are BS games. I never caught on with the ps4 or the xbox one because i lost interest in the whole console world. I hate how the systems are locked down and you have to either jailbreak or mod them to really enjoy it. I have seen all of the PC and console comparisons, and it just does not add up. PC gaming is far superior but they do lack on the sport titles but i believe it is getting better.

I like the Nintendo Switch but it is under powered but that does not mean anything because the games are optimized for the system. the graphics are pretty decent and i heard game play is dope. Instead of spending 300 + dollars on the switch, i would rather spend the money on WEED or put it towards my PC budget lol. The last thing I need in life right now is another piece of technology taking my time and energy. Personally, i hate staring at the computer/laptop/televison/mobile screens.

us computer geeks have back problems! if you can relate, come dap me.

You have to be smoking Crack to think sony would wait until 2021 to release ps5.

It's coming no later than 2019.
Bruh, so they releasing systems every 3 years now :stopitslime: So what you're saying is the console leader comes out with a pro version, Then has this expensive VR add-on with gimmicks. And in 2 years they gonna go in another direction even tho they have the sales lead :blessed:

YOU DUMBASSES GOTTA RIDE THAT SALES LEAD OUT, SONY GOTTA EAT!!!

If I didn't know any better, I'd say Scorpio is making nikkaz pour jelly on themselves :umad:

Sounds expensive, plus the userbase on PC for popular games is :patrice: Titanfall, gears, NBA2k and Madden are frowned upon on pc :smugbiden:
PS5 in 2019, 3 years after the pro, 6 after OG PS4. 25th year anniversary of Playstation.

But  at the Pro being rushed.
Well they have the sales lead :hula: the boost in the majority of games is negligible compared to ps4 and in a few cases worse :scusthov: the reason for the rush was for the VR shyt that nobody uses. There are more Kinect's in use in the wild
On Xbox360 :damn:
And it's drastically inferior to its competitions "pro" version so now you're ready to abandon ship before the system has even dropped :laff:

You need the hook up on a uncharted3 walkthrough bruh :sas2:
You ain't tryna rush through that :sas1:

DirectX 12, tiled resources, The cloud, fukk it I'll even throw in EA access. $30 when you buy Scorpio and battlefield 1 should be apart of that bundle. Or you can keep hanging on til 2019 (wink wink) trade in your pro and your unopened VR unit that came with Driveclub. Best-Buy will give you $175 towards the $600 ps5, for $100 more you can get the ps5 eye and move with the promise they'll support it this time :troll:
