What platforms bash African men?
What do you consider Black men being in control? Which era do you think best represents Black male leadership?
Social media, books, films, stage plays, magazines, internet articles, etc. Let’s not be naive. “Straight Black Men are the Anglo People of Black People” takes the cake. It’s so absurd, it’s comical.

Black men being in control as in being the breadwinners, taking care of their families by working and being in the home. Who brings home the bacon, has the most influence.

The baby boomers’ era, before integration and prior to corporations starting to ship manufacturing jobs overseas.

Yall realize the greater American community/culture is going downhill? A lot of stuff like the destruction of family isn't unique to us......we were just first.

It isn't a integration/segregation or capitalism or feminism or culture or pride issue. You can address all of that and still be the dirt poor underclass ruled by a dominant society that wants your blood. All of those are red herrings.

Either 1. We get reparations 2. America is abolished thus putting a dent in White supremacy 3. African nations engage in smart business and gain the capital to then invest in diasporic communities.

All of that other shyt yall are talking leads to nowhere.

My stuff was getting too long so continue...

It's all a mental thing. Black parents were raising their kids to BOW to the white man for fear of them being killed.

I read this in Huey P Newton REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE book

Through generations, black mothers have tried to curb the natural masculine aggressiveness in their young male children, lest this quality bring swift reprisal, or even death, from the white community.

We NEED racial pride and esteem first and foremost.
People keep saying economics and we do need that but first we need self awareness.
That's what "others" have on us. Esteem and pride so they CAN work with each other even if they can't stand each other.
There’s a part in the Willie Lynch letters about this. Kill the so-called baddest in front of the entire plantation. Mothers instinctively raised their sons to be docile to the anglo-saxon so it wouldn’t happen to them. Prohibit revolts which were common on the islands prior to implementation of this.

Yes I'm Black. During reconstruction, our predecessors were just getting out of slavery. Many of them STAYED on plantations and became sharecroppers. The 70's were the beginning of the structural decay of the Black nuclear family. The government created incentives for women to raise their children on their own.

I'm from the south. I know of some families who were so downtrodden, their families didn't leave plantations until the early 80's. This is a fact. I'm not saying we are not a great people but lets be honest with ourselves. We have had a hard time in this country, even though we have had some victories here and there. For the most of our history, it's us fighting and struggling.

But we were strong and unified as a community though, that's what this discussion is about

Good god so many terrible post in one thread :picard:
People are having a discussion and throwing out their opinions.

I guess you're the genius in the bunch who came in this thread and made "sense" while the rest of us is blowing smoke

Nah. Fake black posters wouldn't touch this discussion in 1 million years - too specific and not political enough.

No I don't think a migration south would change anything, the entire culture has to change, not geographic location.
its over

I'm not a genius but I definitely read before I speak and I have some sense. My post wasn't even directed at you so please chill. I'm glad you read Huey P....another good one is Black Skin, White Mask by Frantz Fanon you'd enjoy that one.

As for everyone else:

The Willie Lynch letters aren't even real... some good concepts to learn how White supremacy operates but stop talking as if it was a historical document. Makes it easy for White folks to write off real truth as delusions.

I see post talking about "masculine" men when the main battlefield is now economic. I rather have a population of nerdy economist and hackers than I would a bunch of John Henry nikkas who White folk can easily put in prisons.

And with automation, yall realize the US is heading to mass welfare? Whites use welfare more than Blacks? Most US families regardless of race are heading to single parent households? Holding out hope that we reverse that is kind of foolish.

And people don't understand why feminism was bad. It didn't cause anything. The US moved the manufacturing base to China. Black men lost jobs. Black women needed to supplement that income. Feminism was kind of the campaign to get Black women to buy into the system....but if our economics is right then that sell isn't appealing.

What good is a segregated community with nuclear families that use group economics (which is taxed because we still use their currency) if they still regulate and zone us, we still have the shortest life expectancies and are dirt poor? Just look at Africa where nations have family units and spend amongst each other and are still suffering under cacs.

The AA communities fate lies in the hands of a few African leaders. That is just the truth. The same way rich Chinese come over here and invest is the same thing we need of Africans. But first, they have to get their house in order by doing smarter business with each other and with others.

nope. Too much division. No foundation to build upon.

These things would have to happen, IMO

whole lotta people gotta die, or else once we get a strong foundation they'd kill us at the epicenter en masse..... again.

The greater majority of us would have to learn to build a future for us all. Whether it be learning specific skillsets as a community and applying it as a community or teaching our kid "THIS is what has to be done, we're gonna help you do it cause we can't/couldn't"

Someone else invests in us with the sole intent of making things better.

Really, we don't have generational wealth. There's no investing in the future, because unless it's trying to find new trends, we don't see the future. Look around. There's two generations of folks doing the same shyt. You can't prepare for the future when you're trying to keep up with your kids.

Social media and comment sections has allowed a lot of us to wakeup and see we HAVE to come together to support each other, because we clearly have no allies. However, I believe there is going to be a section of us who can't be saved. Basic things like not having babies out of wedlock seem to be impossible for some. You create thriving communities by black people supporting black businesses, giving other blacks the power to give jobs and opportunities to our own, who are then able to support black families, and pass things down.

We have a large section of black folks with entire families full of out of wedlock children by multiple people. Perhaps once we have more economic power, folks will want a better family life if they have the means to support a family, but that's not going to happen if we're on the same page.
