May you elaborate, kind sir?

A big reason why Jamaicans are considered "homophobic" is because British slaves owners went OD in sexually abusing Jamaican male slaves. Brits took buck-breaking to another level with the male slaves. And clearly, Jamaicans have over time felt an extra type of way when it comes to gay activity. This is actually prominent through all caribbean nations that were once British colonies.

Nah. Fake black posters wouldn't touch this discussion in 1 million years - too specific and not political enough.

No I don't think a migration south would change anything, the entire culture has to change, not geographic location.
That's how you change culture, through cultural fusion.
I think northern Black need a touch of the Southern culture and Northerners need a touch of Southern culture.
We have been separate too long!

I had to ask its soooo many threads on LSA of Americanized immigrants and foreigners speaking authoritatively about our culture even though they don't live it and can't fully grasp it.

I'm going to make this short. We have a lot of issues in our community. Besides corrupt cacs we also have people of our own skin that will either sell us out for a dollar or harm their own. I get poverty, but sh-t is getting WORSE for us. We don't have a huge AA type of lobby like Jews, Mexicans, or Cubans (politically).

The question is, do you think Blacks/AA's will rise up and take charge in our lifetime? I'm not talking individually, but as a collective group.

rise up and do what? what does that even mean?

breh...dont even bother answering that....

i keep saying it....we need wealth in our community...that is the ONLY thing that moves positive change. Politicians listen to who has money....

and for us to have wealth...and in turn 'real change' for any of our social problems....we need black businesses....

and im not talking about cats who sing and dance or run and jump...whites....asians...jews etc...their wealth and hopes arent tied to whether or not 'entertainers' pay attention or do something...we are the only ones that do that....their wealth comes from business....and thats where ours will have to come from

and until that happens on a large scale NOTHING will change for us...

Majority of african americans are too comfortable in this integrated society they're already brainwashed by media and consumerism, can't see that happen with this generation and the next generations, too late for that.
This isn't completely true.
Most African American youth love diversity but still prefer our own spaces and culture.

I love the fact that I have options to go eat traditional Soul Food, Chinese food, African food, Caribbeanfood, Mexican food and etc. but I I visit any of their restaurants I'd prefer to go with one of my African American friends or family.
Appreciating other cultures doesn't mean I have to sacrifice my own.
Social media, books, films, stage plays, magazines, internet articles, etc. Let’s not be naive. “Straight Black Men are the Anglo People of Black People” takes the cake. It’s so absurd, it’s comical.

Black men being in control as in being the breadwinners, taking care of their families by working and being in the home. Who brings home the bacon, has the most influence.

The baby boomers’ era, before integration and prior to corporations starting to ship manufacturing jobs overseas.
Well that's up to Black men to change the narrative.
Black women got tired of the same ol song of negativity when it came to our image so we got to to media to change it.

What are you biggest issues or stigmas that you want Black men to be relieved of?

Some if the biggest African American men in media do questionable things behind the scenes that makes it hard for the next generation.

The stigma that I want changed the most is the African man in the US isn’t a willing provider. Also, that the African man is childlike. A great deal of African men I know are handling their biz. Married and involved in their kids’ lives.

There are some “brothas” in the background that have selfish interests that promotes inflicting community ailments. It sucks but their bytches and the worst wenches because they pretend to be down.
