it's one of the most influential games in it's genre (as you can see from these links) anyone saying otherwise is a clown/hater. No one is saying it's the most influential shooter ever, because obviously you had other shooters before it...but it brought a lot to the table that are being mimicked by games today. In a market flooded with military based shooters (COD, BF, TF, KZ) Halo still stands out today because of it's unique gameplay features (some of which were copied or emulated in some of the games I mentioned).
