If you are under 6'0" (and ESPECIALLY under 5'10") yet have NBA caliber/elite athleticism, you'd be better off playing soccer, hockey, football, baseball, track....anything.
Basketball is a tall man's game. The athletes are a few notches below other sports because height filters out 95% of the population. A 6'4" man (think D-Wade) is probably 97 to 99th percentile for height among all men in the world. In hoops, 6'4" is normal for a PG maybe a smallish SG and noticeably undersized for any other position. Basketball and volleyball are the only sports were being taller is ALWAYS an advantage. Other sports, height can work for or against you in different situations (tall jump ball receiver = good; tall RB = not as good usually).
