For a career, Kobe has shot 45%. Jordan at 49.7%. Both are 9 time all defensive first team, but Kobe had a longer career. Jordan has led the league in steals 3 times, Kobe never has. Kobe is a 2x scoring champion, Jordan is a 10x scoring champ. In 1988 MJ was also DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the YEAR. Kobe has never won that award. Not to mention his 6 finals MVP awards and 5 regular season MVP awards. Those are all individual accomplishments. Kobe has also benefited from the rules change with his scoring, jordan never had that luxury. And you're right, Mike had a much higher IQ and was a smarter basketball player. Much smarter.
Shaq has a higher FG% than both, that doesn't make him a better shooter. Kobe is a better pure shooter than Jordan, you know this.
MJ dominated his position when big men still ruled the league.
Kobe dominated his position in arguably the greatest era for wing players in NBA history.
MJ led the league in steals and won defensive player of the year BEFORE the hand checking rule. He was able to defend more physically while players of today don't have that luxury.
I think you're confused, MVP awards doesn't make someone a better individual basketball player.
NO ONE in NBA history, has as much basketball talent in their body as a prime kobe bryant. No one.
Theres a reason why hes able to score 81 points, while being able to hold the scoring champion to 0 points in a half.

Stop underrating him.

:whew: Kobe is a bad man. He had the 3 point record too.

Kobe did have a better jumper. Players are way more offensively savvy then when Jordan was good on defense. And no one was doing crazy crossovers when Jordan came in. On second thoughts......

Not underrating him at all, he is the second best SG BEHIND MJ.

You still not telling me why.
Kobe is a better shooter than Jordan.
Better scorer(IMO)
Arguably a better defender.
Just a more skillful player with the basketbal all around

I told you why in my first post. He is a better jump shooter. But look at the scoring mike did in an era where he didn't have the luxury of having a whistle blown every time someone touched him. Look at Kobe's stats AFTER the hand check rule. Shaq having a higher FG % is irrelevant. Dude is 7'1 350 pounds (or something like that) and was virtually unstoppable in the post and with his back to the basket. He isn't a shooter, he is a power player. I realize the greatness of Kobe but he is #2 BEHIND ....Jordan. Not to shabby. But like you said, it's all IMO

Kobe has a higher 3P% and FT% than jordan. Didnt Jordan shoot like 20% from the 3 one season but your clwon ass is tryna convince me that Jordan was a better shooter than Kobe :laff:

And :laff: at this nikka saying MICHAEL JORDAN didn't have refs blowing the whistle every time someone breathed on him :dead:

Someone get this clown out my face, Im negging you

Jordan who never had a winning season without Scottie Pippen(A player with more assist and rebounds than Jordan while only playing 66 more minutes)

Mj shooting stats (career) FT .835 3pt .327 fg%. .497
Kobe shooting stats (career) FT .838 3pt .335 fg%.454

Ok, Kobe has him on .3% at the FT line and 1.08% at the 3pt line. Awfully close

Jordan who is 6-0 in the finals, with 6 finals MVPs and never a sidekick to anyone
vs kobe who only led the lakers to 2 titles and has 2 finals mvps in like 20 years in the league :heh:
magic and shaq's runs >>>>>>>> kobe's run as leader of the lakers :umad:
shaq leading the lakers to 3 straight titles and winning 3 straight finals MVPs > kobe only managing what lebron's managed in miami in less years :heh:

Jordan seasons with over 100 steals: 12
Kobe seasons with over 100 steals: 11
Jordan Seasons with over 200 steals: 6
Kobe seasons with over 200 steals: 0
Jordan seasons with over 100 blocks: 2
Kobe seasons with over 100 blocks:
0
Jordan seasons with over 50 blocks: 8
Kobe seasons with over 50 blocks: 4
Jordan seasons with 50% or higher fg: 6
Kobe seasons with 50% or higher fg:
0
Jordan seasons with 200+ steals and 100+ blocks: 2
Nba players with seasons with 200+ steals and 100+ blocks: 0

two separate 3peats, never getting blown out in the finals (let alone a series clinching game) vs a 2-1 finals record as the leader of the lakers :flabbynsick: but 3-0 as a sidekick :obama:

losing a series after being up 3-1 in the 7th game by 31 points :mjlol:
scoring 2 points in the 2nd half of a win or go home play off game :heh:

blown out by 39 points in the finals :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::huhldup:

Kobe himself has said he modeled his game entirely after Jordan's. His dynasty is like the sequel and sequels are never better then the original
