A lot of White people let Fox News and stereotypical Black characters in television shape what they believe Black people are.

A lot of White folks relationship with Black people is just in passing so they don’t understand us or our culture. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suit or not if the preconceived notions are there and the seeds have always been planted.

Dressing nice gets you better treatment, generally speaking. It's a fact.

Even yesterday I went to the ER with my dad, I got pretty decent service. But when my brother got there the treatment was excellent because he dresses like an exec. The employees are more responsive to that, typically.
