Window A/C unit appreciation thread

I’ve been thugging it out all summer with a couple of fans.

I had to deal with that for 2 days, cause my central ac unit was done... I couldn't stand it at all

We're the two trash ones 5,000 btu units? 5,000 btu are the weakest A/C units and will struggle to cool a large space.

I think so, it was a while ago when we live in an apartment and those times we were broke, so we had the cheapest ac units

Learned to maintain it cuz lord knows we ain’t have money to buy anything new

That's what I'm gonna preach to my sons. That mindset definitely should start at home at a young age

When I was renting a room out in a house, like an old school rooming house in dc, I had a roommate, if she wasn't a bleeding heart liberal she'd be a cat lady, who had the craziest coughs. She'd sound like she was coughing up a hair ball. Then when she fall asleep and snore so loud i could feel it in MY BED.

The window ac unit was juuuust a bit loose and a had a deep vibration which pissed me off initially then i realized it completely canceled out her bodily happenings. Utilities were included so I ran that thing year round.
