Did you back up your files? I would do that before doing anything else...I finished the upgrade...everything seems to be working fine so far except the resolution.
My monitor was set at 1980x1080. But since the upgrade everything is off...like the screen is too small and edges are off the screen. I switched to 1776x1000 and it's back to looking normal.
How do I get it to 1980x1080 with all the items fitting in the screen?
Backup files or clone harddrive or both?Did you back up your files? I would do that before doing anything else...
Sounds like you need to update the graphics driver.
I would just backup the files you care about and then reset the PC to see if a clean install will help you. You should always go for a clean install anyway, while upgrades seem like a good idea...it's just never better than a clean install.Backup files or clone harddrive or both?

Cloning the hard drive can take quite a bit of time if you have an older machine, probably best to do that overnight if you want to save the entire installation for some reason.
Your issue just seems to be a graphics driver problem, did you check to see if automatic updates did anything? What gpu or laptop do you have?
Yeah try updating to the latest drivers if you don't have them. I don't see any reason why a 5670 won't be displaying at your native resolution on Windows 10.I have a desktop.
GPU – SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5670
Same thing that happened to me on launch day. I tried to update everything I could, but it still only works for 10 seconds when it boots upWent back to Windows 8, the touchpad on my laptop was practically unusable
