Just turn the tracking off when you set it up.

All it does is track your usage for Cortana and search use. Just like Google does without selling it for ads.

If you don't want your info synced across different computers you can disable that too.

so you setting pretty with warez? turning off switches nulls and voids the crackdown if they have reason to believe? I think they are giving people a grace period and could crack down and report things to the FBI so you get fined with the entertainment industry if its too much. And obvi they would go hard if you have a bunch of MS warez.

And at best it's an easy backdoor....that hackers could abuse. reading all your files (even protected files) shouldn't be implemented at all.

But everything can be opted out of. If you truly believe they are gonna report your illegal movie collection to the MPAA then just disable it or use Linux because every other OS does some form of this.

You cant see it unless you use a third party software. It will activate on its own as soon as your connected online
