You cant see it unless you use a third party software. It will activate on its own as soon as your connected online

No you dont. If your windows 8 or 8.1 is already activated, windows 10 will be activated

An overblown issue. And if you don't feel comfortable you can disable most of it anyway.

how long can we take advantage of it being free im not sure I wanna upgrade yet. Given how new releases go I cant be too sure about 10 just yet.
