The smaller tablets are more popular than the 10 inch models...its been proven. 17" laptops are fading away too. Phones are getting bigger, but they are still comfortable to hold on ONE HAND.

All the shyt you guys are saying its stupid. It's like OK hate on Windows 8 when the fact is sure some people don't like the Metro or Modern but other functions are just way better. I'm looking for a good late night discussion but nobody is providing anything with substance.

And again...I gurantee...GURANTEE if Service Pack 1 (or (Windows Blue or whatever they're gonna call it lol) for Windows 8 allows you to make Metro UI an option and Aero the default, sales will jump exponentially.

And then you'll see threads like Win X >>>> OS X (which will be a stupid thread but bear with me here) and then we'll all marvel at how the prices of SSDs going down really helped M$FT out in that aspect, and how Chrome still has'nt really taken off but Android is still running strong, and how Apple is still beating cats in the head for shiny expensive products, etc.

Don't be afraid dog...the future is scary but it's gonna be great and so will Windows X.

But make no mistake: Windows 8 was DOA and is just decaying now, being picked at by vultures, hyenas and other carrion eaters.

It can ressurect like the Phoenix or Goku...but not with that UI

You are caught up in that "App" nonsense huh. What have all versions of windows been running then? Lines of text that you read as code and imagine it in your mind? Microsoft got greedy with that metro UI and are paying for it right now, you don't see what they are trying to do to your options? The way they handled Windows 8 is worse than ANYTHING Apple did. You realize how bad that is? Apple the king of fitting everything together did not even take that kind of strong approach to Mac OS X...thats a BIG PROBLEM dog. Ballmer must be feeling that heat.

Windows 8 is a mess. I tried to stick it out to see how it played out, but I gave up. I dumped my Lumia and will be dumping my Quantum in a couple of days to go back to Android/Ubuntu. Windows 8 will be installed because the majority of the games will be there for now, but honestly with how Newell the GOD is mad at Microsoft anything can happen with steam at this point. They just dropped a linux version and games are being ported daily to that platform.

No refuse to believe its everyone the battle is won in the trenches simple as that and like I said I seen people hate on the platform and after teaching them tips and tricks they love it so there is a positive side to it its just people presenting and selling the item don't know what their talking about.

I would like to see a survey sales in a MS store vs sales in a BB and check the customer satisfaction scores. I bet people that buy Win8 in a MS store love the product more than the people that buy it @ a BB because guess what you have the same Win8 haters selling the platform.

Also heres the thing about Blue no I don't think the start menu is coming back because its pointless and its actually 2 steps backwards than 4 steps forward all MS needs to do is tweak metro to be more efficient.

But here's the thing when WP8 Win8 and Xbox720 unify marketplaces Win8 will really shine over Win7 cause you cant get that experience on a Windows 7 machine.

lol @ doubting Gabe Newell. Sony learned the hard way and had to give into their demands...having steam on their platform. Guess what? Now the PS4 will be easy to develop for.

aesthetics alone....hooking up windows 7 looks better than windows 8.

I use the Pandora gadget, system resources, anti-virus and sometimes RSS. They should have just built upon the gadget feature. I can browse the web or do whateva in a windows and see the feeds on the side. Windows 8 makes gadgets the focus....not cool!

some people like to hold a book over a tablet. Hell, I still print out certain things when I have to multi-task something that requires lots of reading so I can highlight and makes notes. And when I do make notes on the computer I copy and paste into notepad....haven't heard about doing that in metro as right click does not function the same, right?....but they made it one click easy to share on facebook cause it's too hard to copy and past a link to your profile , lol.


Let society kill things off. M$ is forcing tablets of what-have-you and that's not good! Keep things separate as people do things for the experience. I don't want my PC experience to match my phone! WHY DO YOU THINK PAPERBACK BOOKS ARE STILL POPULAR?...people like to physically hold books.






People don't go overseas on boats anymore....but people still like to take cruises and what-have-you....and it's still the cheapest way of overseas shipping for for business as opposed to planes. M$ needs to get a grip on reality!

I installed Windows 8 back in December and have no issues with it. I did install "Classic Shell" to bring back the start menu and I boot straight into desktop mode. Works perfectly fine. The new start screen isn't hard to use, but I don't find myself using it very much (this is on a desktop). For people who are computer illiterate there will be a learning curve. Anybody who's posting on this forum should be able to figure out how to configure it to their liking by doing some Google searches. It's definitely not trash.

What you're using isn't Windows 8. If you have to do all of that just to make the shyt functional then obviously there's something seriously wrong with the design of the OS. And that's the fukking point that most of us have been making.

It's ok try searching EBAY or maps directly from your Windows 7 desktop just saying?

Say if I have 3 screens and want to launch an app notepad++ I would have to minimize everything find the app and launch it.

OR I can press the Windows Key type Note look all the way to the bottom left and see if its the right notepad.

Get outta here man Windows 8 I press the Win Key + No BAM Notepad++ that = efficiency.

I know....I got the app on my iphone and I use it to sell stuff and maybe browse. But it is still limited.


But on the computer I can search for an item then open up the items in different tabs to compare items. How do you compare items?!?! you have to constantly click and go back to the main menu with the app (and sometimes it updates and you loose your spot, lol).....

I like to compare purchases in a tab or separate windows and leave it up for while on my computer if it is a major purchase so I can continue to research later on. I guess you could fill up the watch list, but the page has to load everytime you click on it.....just can't leave it up.
