We're getting 1-3 inches of snow here in metro detroit. The high for Friday is gonna be 9° :huhldup:

Down south prioritizes prep for heat while up north prioritizes prep for cold.

That's why the north looks foolish when they get 4 days of temps above 90 and the south looks foolish when they get 4 days below 30 with snow/ice.

If you don’t have that salt brine mixture for your roads it’s SOL if you don’t have a quick warm up.

We are forecast for 3 days at 25 degrees. There’s just going to be refreezing and burst pipes.

They still have no salt trucks in the south after all this time???:wtf:
It doesn't make logistical sense to buy a fleet of trucks that will get very occasional use every couple of years. Remember it's not just the initial cost. You have to have somewhere to store them, cover the cost of keeping them maintained and operationally ready, and have people who are willing and knowledgeable in operating them. And you gotta convince everyone that it's worth investing in.
