He makes a good point to a certain extent, now a days the point of getting a bachelors is just to show you could do it takes and possessed the dedication to finish college. As evident in the high amount of college grads that don't work in their field of study
That's why stem majors are where it's at and why they are sought after because you need problem solving skills to excel in science, engineering and mathematical professions.
The point he is making, is the same reasons there's a lot of smart/dumb people out here that are "intelligent" on paper but dumb as hell in real life situations.
