been getting so many of these lately
:patrice:

If you don't like the combat in "DA:I"....and you don't like the combat in this....open world RPGs probably aren't your cup of tea.

Also there's nothing unique about the story and world in this game. It's generic as fukk if you've paid attention to any fantasy novels of the last....oh I dunno, 100 years.

"DA:I" is generic too, but that's another topic.

This is 100% wrong unless you're playing on the easiest setting, or haven't played much. I'm still early in the game, level 5, and if you try that "button mashing" shyt with any human enemies you'd die in like 5 seconds because they parry and block your attacks. You have to parry/block and look for an opening.

This is wildly inaccurate too. In 5 levels I've protected farmers from undead, helped a woman in love with a monster, killed a monster kidnapping kids, ran into an old acquaintance from a previous game with a bounty on his head, etc.

A couple quests were "go get X, I'll give you Y" but to act like that's the bulk of the game play is :what:

Again, unless you've just started playing.

I sold Dragon Age Inquisition because i got tired of the combat system and lack of powerful epic attacks.. how are we in this generation and Kingdom Hearts 1 for PS2 has better real time rpg gameplay with Epic attacks

This shyt is cold, and unlike Skyrim and shyt, it has been able to hold my attention so props to that. However, I cant see how you nikkas say this shyt has "GREAT" graphics :what:, unless yall are giving props for "art direction" I think the game looks wayyyyy too plastic like and cartoony. The skin textures look plastic like, so does background items, plants, trees, ect. I have not been impressed with the graphics of any of the latest releases on PS4. Maybe this is only a problem to me cause im waiting on more "real life" looking graphics (this game looks shytty compared to Far Cry 4 which has been most impressive to me out of everything I have played). Dying Light's graphics were garbage as hell also (only other recent game I have) and for them to be taking a real life approach, IDK why they could not have better graphics in Dying Light. I hate seeing plastic like skin textures in this day and age, shyt really irks me low key.

i don't know what the fukk you talking about breh. You must be blind, high, crippled and crazy or something. Graphics are fukking AMAZING.

Yep. There is no reason for the combat in these new open world games to be so generic and basic. DAI literally just becomes button mashing with the odd heal here and there. TW3 isn't much better.

But some people like easy, mindless shyt like that. DAI, Skyrim and Shadow of Mordor have some of the worst combat ever in any game but it 'looks cool' so motherfukkers love it. :yeshrug:

the combat in DAI is rooted in stat-based turn-based combat. it's not supposed to be like Dark Souls, Skyrim, or other 'action RPGs'

I said the combat was ass, I didn't say it was supposed to be like anything. You and Hexagram are without doubt the worst people to try and debate with, you read one thing and argue against something completely different. Strawmans absolutely everywhere.

I want to play but I got soo many games not finished yet.
to the point I realized that I'm hoarding games. Will buy if I take myself to finish my games.
or the price is like 10-20$ my interest for games is realllllly low.

I just want FFXV and KH3 and Persona 5.

Game feels NOTHING like DAI.... :comeon: For one your only depending on yourself in the entire fight you dont have any backup and shyt like that. the potion creation system is top notch hands down... my only gripe about the witcher is the lack of smithing system geralt can do... you have to either go to an armorer/blacksmith for creating weapons...

at least in skyrim with the materials at your disposal you could learn to create armor and weapons... and SAVE YOUR MONEY... :mindblown:
The combat is a poor mans bloodborne.

you called it "button mashing", and then said the Witcher 3 isn't much better. it seemed you were trying to draw similarities between the games combat, beyond "games with combat I don't like"

not really. Dragon Age is a more traditional RPG that has it's roots in games like Balder's Gate and KOTOR. Mass Effect is a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements

the difference really being that Dragon Age has combat that based on stats. this is something that comes from Dungeons & Dragons. you choose who to attack with which type of attack, and the success of that attack is determined by various stats. an "action RPG" tends to incorporate the players skill at aiming, dodging, timing, etc

You must be playing The witcher 3 on easy.

You can say a lot about the combat, but its definitely not "easy button mashing"
