i thought sherman's rant was obnoxious as hell but after hearing him speak i dont think he is a thug. however, this whole new thug is codeword for ****** movement is pretty stupid. now if u wanna use the chris rock "black ppl vs nikkas" routine then yea thug can mean nikka, but not even black ppl like those type of nikkas. those nikkas are happy to be called thugs. n not even just blacks, too many latinos in this category and even some whites. walking around like being a thug = being a real man or some kind of warrior. i keep saying this, rap music has done more to hurt the black man's image than to help the black man.
when u hear someone say the nba is full of thugs, they arent talking about the tim duncan's of the league, they talking about the jr smiths. the dudes with gang tattoos and flashing gang signs and bringing guns to the locker room. in that case, there are way too many thugs in the nba. its not a racial thing, its about having class and manners.

but i dont care. i just come from a school of thought that self pity is a horrible disease of the soul. yea the cards are stacked against minorities, but if u spend all ur fukking time focusing on racism all u are doing is filling ur heart with negativity.
a lot of people say things like "fukk cacs i wont let them define me or dictate how i should behave" i can respect that if you stood by it. dudes wanna say that and then as soon as some random white boys on twitter say some racist shyt there are like 100 threads on the subject filled with a circle jerk of self pity and reverse racism. if you really wanted to live by the "fukk cacs i wont let them define me or dictate how i should behave" mantra, then these racist rants would not even phase u, but they get so much attention that all you are doing is giving these ignorant racist fukks more power and making them feel like their racism is effective.
now ya wanna give 'thug' the same power that the n word has. to me that just seems like shooting urself in the foot.

This is a long winded rant. Thugs don't graduate Stanford with a 3.9 GPA and do their masters.
Sherman was mad because he went to shake Crabtree's hand after the play and Crabtree mushed him in his helmet. Who wouldn't be mad at that?

Haven't looked at it much like that...I mean, some cuz I think Sherm shouldn't have done all of that (not that he was wrong, but don't give them ammo) but that bolded is right though
