With NO knowledge/experience, can you get into the coding/programming industry?

You misunderstand. I'm not trying to clown you. I'm trying to let you know that if you're comparing learning a programming language to learning excel or powerpoint, that's not even a valid comparison.

It's like comparing a banana to a bicycle.

And you're misunderstanding the question I'm trying to ask @BaldingSoHard

That's why trying to interject with dap fishing without knowing the reason for the question would always look stupid

OG, would you compare mastering coding/programing to mastering Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerBi?

Is one harder than the other?

Good lord, no...

There are similar concepts in like Excel macros I guess, but that's it.

Coding is... a whole world unto itself.

Thanks breh. Do you think learning Excel VBA would be a good intro to learning C# ?
And if not, do you think they would compliment each other?

Actually, yes. That would be a fantstic way to start. :ehh:

Visual Basic is a great introduction to the world of coding!

Thank you breh! :salute:

Would Excel VBA, C#, and Python be enough in the Finance/Investing sector?

I want to just stick with 2-3 and master them. Would that be a good idea, or should I branch out to more languages?

If you aren't going to school and don't have money to pay for a bootcamp, look up The Odin Project. It starts you at the beginning.

i work in a call center..i dont make much though..i might try this out...how long did it take you to make it in the industry

I would say... start with the VBA. Get comfortable with it. Become proficient to the point where if someone came to you with a problem, you would feel confident solving it using the tools you leaned in VBA.

From there, you will know if you like this field enough to make it a career. If you can master VBA then you can master C#. Once you understand the basics of programming, you'll learn that different languages are just different syntaxes.

So focus on VBA for now. Feel it out... see how it feels. If it's a fit, then yes C# and Python would very applicable in today's finance world.

I'm still making it. It's a journey but we almost there :salute:

Get started today, breh. If you got a made up mind, it will work for you. But you gotta be serious because going this route means you gotta be disciplined to make yourself study when you would rather be doing something else. It's all on you, nobody is gonna check to see where you're at, if you take a month off, nobody is gonna tell you to get back to it.

You have to be focused and committed. If I was you, I'd start this week. Get out of that call center hell, breh.

I'm in this field cause I have a big idea and if I can get it built, I will be a retired millionaire within 5 years like the big homie @BaldingSoHard
