I was raised in the A. I just came back from visiting my folks down there. The other day I took a ride through the city and listened to the radio. I felt like my IQ dropped by 15 points. I think my city has done irrapable damage to hip-hop. The level of ignorance and shytty music coming from my beloved city is disgusting.
We need better regional balance in Hip-Hop and more focus on lyricism and NYC might be the best shot at returning to the basics.
