stfu! Do you actually watch the Clipp games or do you skim through them? Between Paul, Billups, Crawford, Blake, Lamar, etc we got plenty of enough shooters. Giving up 12-15 three pointers to the likes of the Warriors, Spurs, OKC, Heat, etc. makes me want to pull my fukkin' hair out. We can't defend for shyt. That Spurs debacle was the last straw for me. Caron is not defending for shyt and he's hurt alot. We need defense and rebounds, That's the reason we wanted KG. And fukk what CP3 does. I like him and want him to stay but fukk all that "he needs to leave if things aren't to his liking" talk. He should show up for the Spurs, Miami, OKC, and Golden State games first of all.

none of those players are shooters...caron is our best outside threat he shoots close to 40 percent from deep.....

everyone else isnt close to caron on that department, but somehow bringing afukking riza is going to help our team win games?

our defense is top 5 in the game already....ariza wont do nothing to drastically change that...

our offense is top 4 in the game, ariza joining the clippers decreases that by a fukkin huge margin...

and yea I watch every clipper game, and oh by the way every hornet game when ariza played for them....so I know what im talking about

btw If odom starts scoring he eliminates the need for KG....if anything a scoring Odom is better than KG because he is basically a point forward, and defensively hes not as good as KG, but not bad either...and hes as long as KG is...

Odom is the x factor for our team, butler doesnt need to be on the court that long with our wing depth so if he plays for our team to struggle on d...thats not Carons fault, its Vinnys

we need carons offense more than arizas d

:russ: @ dumbasses talking about scoring.

Ariza is a championship caliber role player. He wouldn't be brought in for spreading the floor. Clippers have several players that can fill that role. Rebounding, perimeter defense and athleticism on the wing are what the clippers need. Trevor fixes all of that. Trevor also has a knack for making big plays in the clutch.

There is more to basketball than shooting and scoring.

I dunno how much truth is in it (it may be NONE), but according to Simmons the other day (and you know he's a big Boston guy), Boston originally wanted Webster but the Wiz pushed Crawford instead because Crawford, according to Grunfeld:

“Jordan did not fit into our current plans . . . or our future plans,” Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld said during a news conference to announce the trade. “At this time, we thought it was in the best interest of everyone if we make this trade. It will be a good situation for Jordan. He might get an opportunity to go to a better team and help them and it will allow us to continue on the path that we’re trying to build in the locker room, with work ethic and team play, where everybody is on the same page and wanting to play for the same reasons. Being unselfish offensively and playing good, aggressive defense.”

Grunfeld said the deal came together at “the last minute,” as it became evident that Crawford wanted a bigger role with the team, and was agreed upon nearly an hour before the NBA’s 3 p.m. deadline.

So they thought Crawford was becoming a problem and it became a bigger priority to get RID of him than to negotiate to get something good in return for Webster, particularly since time was running out. :manny:

Crazy part is, the Wiz apparently "aggressively shopped" Crawford way before that, lookin' for a draft pick in return, but he didn't attract much interest.

The Wizards shot themselves in the foot with Crawford. He averaged nearly 20 PPG and like 6 assists in December. Then the last month or so he hasn't gotten any burn, they killed his trade value so much.

I'd be surprised if they traded Webster because he's been one of the most positive people in the Wizards locker room.

nikka I watched ariza on the hornets, he is absolutley TRASH that nikka isnt even that good on defense as he was in 09...dude has pissed me off ever since then, nikka got his money so now he stopped hustlin...his jumpshot has no excuse to be this bad....and in THIS NBA? yea you need to be able to hit a jumpshot....good offense beats good defense in todays nba.

Ariza is trash if you want him to be more than a 5th option on offense. Just let him hustle, slash and shoot a jumper when he is wide open and he is great. He is a role player, nothing more, nothing less.

Did the Bulls guard the 3pt line when Vinny was there? I blame him more than the lack of players

Don't get it twisted I've seen Caron have some nice shooting games but they're far and in-between plus he misses like one out of every three games. We need DEFENSE breh!! We have shooters galore, Crawford will more than make up for any lack of shooting. I was at the Utah game on Saturday and Odom was looking like he was back on the Lakers again! Along with Paul, Billups, and Barnes we got shooting down. I want defensive stops in the worst way for this team. Ariza is not a franchise player but he fills a defensive role that we desperately need. I don't know about you but I can't watch another game where we give up 15 threes or another Spurs playoff sweep. A guy like him with his wingspan can at least cut that total in half plus grab some boards and make 2-4 buckets a game. That's what we need. not another chucker

Man cats don't want to hear this logic though. We need more grit and grind and less flash and sexy. Plus like you said he's been in big games and won a ring. We need "hands up" defense and rebounding right now, especially against the elite teams in the league.

he misses open jumpers thats the point....im not giving up my best perimeter shooter for someone who literally invented bricks...

our team d is top 5 in the league...hes not going to change that...we have good defenders anyways on our team....if butler is getting lost on D, play barnes more...this is on VDN's rotation habits rather than caron butler

hes not good enough to give up our best perimeter shooter
If you want to win a ring yes it is.

What Ariza brings to a championship team>>>>>>>>>>> What Caron brings.

I'm happy the KG and Ariza trades didn't go down.

Would be title lock for you fakkits. :whew:
