The Bulls traded away Deng for nothing. shyt happens like that in the NBA. You're not going to get face value in deals like this. But if you cool with not getting shyt for dude, so be it.
Thought they traded him away for cap relief. And this is in no way the same type of scenario. Your tryingto oversimplify things. All tradescenarios aren'tcreated equal. If he is indeed declared on the market there will certainly be better offers than the supposed Wizards one.

So you cool with Detroit match a max contract for Greg Monroe? The situation is more similar than you think. Bulls offered a number that Deng didn't want and they moved on. Detroit has to know some team will offer Monroe a lucrative deal, so unless they're comfortable maxing him out, what's the point of not trading him?

Yes, if the other option is to take back Trevor Ariza or any of those other guys not named Beal. And I'm not "delusional" in thinking that we would get Beal. They aren't more similar than I think because the markets for a 30 yr old beat up swingman and foot a young big just getting of his rookie contact are not the same. I don't expect the world in return, but definitely something better than the weak proposals being mentioned here.

with that being said your right lol...shyt otto porter and this years pick would....they should look to deal moose for a SF...another team my eyes are on for him is Denver....They have the pieces to get it done. But I don't know if they want to but he would greatly improve there 2 half court game.

Denver:
Chandler
Randolph
Miller

for

Detroit:
Monroe
Charlie V

You crazy if you think Denver gonna get Monroe(and others) and NOT give up Hickson/Faried/Javale with Chandler.

Wiz fans talmbout Ariza and Gortat like DET gonna give up Monroe for average vets that have expirings. :stopitslime:

So you're not delusional for thinking the Wizards would give up Beal in the 2nd year of his rookie deal for Monroe to give a max contract out when the Wall/Beal combination has proven to be lethal?

And Ariza and filler for Monroe isn't nearly as bad as your making it out to be. Blame Joe D for giving Josh Smith that bread. Detroit has no shooting at all.

I dont think Pistons understand that they have little to no leverage right now. Monroe's deal is expiring and they gave up a large chunk of their cap for the chuck brothers. They fukked up and turning your nose up to Gortat/Ariza/Webster is ridiculous.

:what: I never said we would get Beal. Perhaps the sentences is a little ambiguous. Just to clarify, I don't think we would get back Beal. I'm not delusional. And yes Ariza and some filler is a bad return for Monroe, no matter who is blamed.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I know Dumars makes dumb decisions from time to time but y'all really believe he would match any deal for Monroe?

:wtf:

He doesn't deserve it but I could see a handful of teams offering the max.

Ariza or Webster would help Detroit though. It would make sense to grab Ariza since he's off the books after this year. I'm saying though... what's the plan for Detroit at SF after this year? Ariza and Webster are both capable starting SFs that can shoot 3s and defend.

Who are you going to go after in the offseason if you let Monroe walk? Luol Deng?

:heh:
