I dont think Pistons understand that they have little to no leverage right now. Monroe's deal is expiring and they gave up a large chunk of their cap for the chuck brothers. They fukked up and turning your nose up to Gortat/Ariza/Webster is ridiculous.
They still have a bunch of caproom next year with their expirings if Joe decides to hang on to them. I don't pretend to know a bunch of about other teams situations like most others do on here, but I know my own teams situation very well. At this point its just rumors about a team being interested In Monroe, not a case of him actually being shopped and seeing what offers are out there. We'll see what happens when that point comes, of it comes. If it turns out I'm wrong, fukk it:yeshrug:. I don't hold on to agendas for the sake of being right.

with that being said your right lol...shyt otto porter and this years pick would....they should look to deal moose for a SF...another team my eyes are on for him is Denver....They have the pieces to get it done. But I don't know if they want to but he would greatly improve there 2 half court game.

Denver:
Chandler
Randolph
Miller

for

Detroit:
Monroe
Charlie V
I've been saying for months that Denver is the most logical trade partner for Detroit, but they're gonna have to give up more than that for Monroe.

Chandler, Faried or Hickson, Fournier and Arthur for Monroe and Charlie V. Dunno how the salaries match up, but it would improve both teams.

I mean, if I were the Wiz, I would try and keep Gortat and get Monroe, but it's funny how Pistons' fans acting like a combination of picks, Gortat/Ariza/Webster is laughable for Greg Monroe. I don't think Gortat fits with Detroit because it would basically be exactly how it is now out there with Monre, but shyt Ariza or Webster is the kind of SF that they need if they're going forward with a Smith/Drummond front court

If there was a pick involved I think the deal would make more sense, but the Wiz don't have a pick to offer until 2016-17 season basically, so that point is pretty much moot. Nobody was arguing against getting picks. Am I the only one that bothered to read the actual articles? :dahell:

Expiring contracts man.. Detroit will not go out of their way to keep Gortat/Ariza nor will Gortat/Ariza be in a hurry to stay in DET. It's as delusional as an idea as Beal to Detroit. Giving up Monroe for players not worthy of longterm pistons plans? Stop it. Gortat is going to want (and will receive) more overpaid $ from another team.

In fact it's more delusional from a logic aspect. Detroit would be better off sign&trading.

Who are the Pistons going to target to play SF for them next year?

Are Ariza and Webster the only possibilities?
http://hoopshype.com/free_agency/small_forwards_2014.htm

No, but unless you trying to give Gordon Hayward Paul George money... who else is a realistic option? And even if they went after Hayward, he's not really spacing the floor for you. Webster is making a lil over 5 mil per year also, so take into consideration what the asking price will be for one of those SFs

Ariza won't be asking for Deng or Hayward money. Only other option is in the draft which is fine as well. But I'm just saying Ariza holds value... especially with the year he's having right now.

I like Gortat a lot and would love to keep him, but you have to remember that Nene's contract is immovable.

To add to this...

Lance Stephenson and Evan Turner could be options... for teams looking to fill that wing position.

I'll take Hayward and his contract over Ariza. I like Ariza a lot, but he should be on a team ready to win now. Detroit isn't there and his last good 1 or 2 years will be wasted. He's a worst case scenario don't you think?

To answer your question on who Detroit would be looking into, W. Chandler, Batum, Green and Leonard(offseason move) will be looked at.

Breh, I think this is a case of you being on players because of their name more than what your team needs. Ariza is putting up similar or better numbers to all of those other options you just named, and he's shooting a better percentage from 3 (which is what Detroit is in dire need of at the moment) but he's not good enough for you. I don't think adding low basketball IQ Gerald Green would be the best thing to do with a roster that already has Jennings and Josh Smith on it. And outside of making a move for Wilson Chandler or Green, I highly doubt Batum or Leonard are getting moved by their respective teams.

And going with Hayward would still mean that the Pistons wouldn't have any shooting from the 3 spot
