They ain’t interested in bottoming out. When you consider that the Lakers name + games are their only source on income, makes sense tbh.

The “right” thing was to sell high on AD when he was looking like a fringe mvp guy earlier this year and get what you could for Bron in the offseason. Sign and trade ideally.
