it's funny because i listened to a new Dan Hurley interview on the Mike Francesa podcast on Tuesday, and he talked about the desire to eventually coach in the NBA with the right situation.

i wonder if Pelinka heard that interview and hopped on the phone immediately.

JJ was already an extremely risky "Vibe" former player coaching prospect with zero coaching experience to begin with, but infinitely more qualified than a lifetime College coach.
