The rockets must he really banking on someone being dumb enough to trade a star for asik and Lin

If that don't work they're gonna be spending 48+ mil on harden/Dwight/parsons

Somebody is going to pay this dude $12 Million plus a year and hate themselves for it immediately.

Andre Iguodala, Nicholas Batum type of deals that cats never live up to. Let role players be role players bruh.

I dont think the Rockets would do this if they intended to keep him. They had him locked up for another year at under a million. Nice gesture to let him be free. If they match a deal they wont have money to go after anyone big when Asik and Lin Expire.

Please explain the logic of testing his market, when he was under contract for the next year for pennies?
IIRC correctly parson is a 2nd round pick he either has a low option this year which leads to UFA next year.. OR they can decline it and test him now. i think they made the right decision because teams typically don't bid on RFAs.

There are several teams with holes at the 3 that could make close to max offers, this is a dangerous game from the Rockets.

Cavs
Suns
Lakers
Pistons

Dallas and Hornets too.

Unless they got a star on deck, they probably gonna regret this one.

id assume theyre pretty confident in Melo or they wouldnt have done this

Parsons is not worth the max but some team will pay him
