Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Id like to see them get Parsosn they need somebody who can shoot and stretch the d hed eat off of Embiids passing

Hayward to me is just ehh kinda average at everyhting i thought hed be a little better by now though hes not playing iwth alot of talent and was asked to do to much in utah

Hayward is more of a point forward than Chandler, he's not great at any one thing but above average at several things.

The Cavs are going to go hard at one of these dudes, hole at the 3, young white SFs on the market? Gilbert about to pass out.

My Pops Forever RIP
IIRC correctly parson is a 2nd round pick he either has a low option this year which leads to UFA next year.. OR they can decline it and test him now. i think they made the right decision because teams typically don't bid on RFAs.
Teams don't bid on RFA's where the team will match anything.

If they're willing to do this, they better hope there ain't a desperate team left standing.

If I was Philly, I'd make the offer just cuz I know most of my roster won't get big time money til Parsons' deal is almost up.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
You guys have it all wrong...

Parsons was only making like a million so they weren't doing it to clear cap space.

They were doing it because basically Parsons threatened to leave in free agency next season if they didn't decline it and give him a bigger deal. But this could bite them in the ass similar to how Boozer fukked over Cleveland.

Parsons is very intriguing as a Bulls fan...

does he get 12mil per in the open market? I think that's kind of steep..

Actually as much as morey has a tendency to outsmart himself this isn't a bad idea (though its risky as hell). :patrice:

ok so in my mind this move is to basically sign Parson's as a restricted free agent and make it possible for them to keep him regardless of other team's offers. If they let it go next year it would be easier for another team to acquire him as a unrestricted free agent, whereas now no matter how much is given they can potentially match. This also allows them to get something from him if they can Sign & Trade him.

However if a team decides to steal Parson's and overpay him this can backfire into a third hard to move contract for the rockets..... if they match a max contract (or a close one) for Parsons:whoa:

Then again knowing Morey and his "we don't lose trades" strategy I can't see them letting Parson go for nothing regardless.

Lastly them deciding to double down on Parson's sort of takes away from them being in the Melo hunt. They were going to need Parsons on that cheap contract along with moving Lin and Asik for him to fit. shyt the best chance they had to move lin and asik was to add Chandler to any trade. Letting a contract go for under 1 million was literally the last thing they needed to do to make room for Melo. Unless they have a sign & trade offer in the wings.... but how do you dictate that? any team can come in and make a higher offer.
