Your first point is you fail to mention men are also realistic. As long as a woman cooks, cleans, and gives sex, man is happy. Looking around, men are willing to accept stretch marks, some stomach, etc. Hell it's been say most women ain't even cooking anymore and dudes still accept that. There's the scarcity mindset, but that's a poor assumption. Theres just as many dudes that are realistic

A lot of women would rather be a king's concubine than a peasant's wife. Shouldn't even be that shocking in this case considering she's east asian, we all know how their societies historically saw poverty as a contagion to be avoided at all costs, especially in China. Social safety nets are an alien concept over there, your wealth and who you associate with is your safety net. They'll even go as far as to say your level of wealth and your place on the social hierarchy speaks to your level of virtue.
