No.. people get robbed every day. There are billions of people on this planet.
I'd even say robberies occur more in other countries and most thieves in those countries get away scot-free because the police aren't hired or paid enough to investigate small-time criminals.

You don't know how old those clips are.
Footage of these clips usually don't surface online until they are publicly released which is weeks to months if not years after the investigation because they don't want to alert the criminals that the police is looking for them.
The video in the OP, the police released publicly in attempt to search for the robbers.
People are seeing clips of robberies happening in a week's span and think that there's a spike in robberies (which is untrue).
I know a firefighter who got robbed of his hellcat months ago in this same type of way. As he's heading to his car, several men jump out of a car and attempt to steal his car at gunpoint.

I just wanted to make sure everyone understands why this is a stupid post. Every country he just listed is poor, which shows that crime is associated with poverty which is what I said. He then tried to compare small pockets of the US to entire countries to make his point, do you know how dumb this is? You then show places with a concentration of poor social welfare programs, ranking near to last in education and with the easiest access to guns and then wonder why there are heavy gun deaths there? Mind you - it’s all concentrated in specific pockets - and what do those pockets have in common? Do you realize that those places in many cases actually have third world levels of poverty? How are you not making that connection? The rise in crime is specifically happening in those neighborhoods- it is not spreading out. Cases like the OP are rare and meant to make people like you act like this. Like this freshman year of college level shyt. You even used a data point from 2014 when that was in the middle of violent crime continuing to drop and reaching its low point in 2014.
