Women are judged by their looks first and foremost. When a dime does something of value to society, every man like "aw that's cute" but most attention comes from her body. A dime could cure cancer, but most of her followers on IG would be following her to drool over her ass.

Having your looks being your most valuable asset as judged by society is probably more damaging to attractive women because looks and beauty are fleeting. Which is why this girl talked about turning 30 like she was turning 55.
Facts. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen “#teacherbae, #copbae, #doctorbae, etc.”

It wasn’t nowhere near this bad in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s or even 2010’s. Even Halle Berry would be considered “average” by today’s standards for women’s looks. Nowadays, men would look at prime Nia Long, Janet Jackson or Sade like “meh”, she too skinny, elbows too pointy, no ass. :scust:Everybody want that mythical redbone with a dime face, thick natural curly hair and natural 44P-23-60 measurements. And those women who look like a dime for .5 seconds in their early 20’s and too many times end up blowing up to be like 300-400 lbs and have hella kids. :picard:
Men are alot more realistic with expectations then given credit for.

1. Don't get fat.
2. Feed us
3. Go above and beyond to help us bust nuts.
4. Clean. And they get leniency on that these days.

Internet has given the perception that what you say is true but when you see the women these bruhs are with in real life it appears alot more Grounded.

I LITERALLY was just watching the Steve Harvey Miss Universe pageant a month ago and she was one of the TV commentators :dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

She was all smiles and jovial judging the contestants

That whole scene is fake smiles

This isn't true. In any era, Halle Berry and Nia Long would be regarded as stunning.

As a society, we need to start tuning out the garbage. This applies to both women and men. There is this tendency to believe that vocal idiots speak for the majority, when what the average person does on a daily basis is completely different.

When you look at men in happy relationships, how many of them are with dimes or instagram thots?

R.I.P. to this young lady.

But I keep telling y'all, there's something wrong with this society that has become so "liberated and tolerant":francis:

You got Black folks who lived through hundreds of years of slavery and Jim Crow and mass incarceration and weren't doing this like this generation is doing now and falling to suicide and drug overdoses.

Goes to show you that when you do away with real communities and promote cultural chaos, people feel lost.

Young people have no idea about where they belong in this society anymore, so they hit 30 and realize that they have no idea about where they're going or what they're doing even though they may have money or fame.or instagram followers it falls apart.

Folks may scoff, but there's a reason this shyt is accelerating.

The only thing that is going to solve this is for Black folks to get back to being community/family oriented and stop telling these kids that being a doctor, lawyer, basketball player, rapper, actor, etc. . .is more important than building strong Black families. :yeshrug:

This society has no right of passage, dozen of ways to hide your pain, and hundreds of ways to fail.

All before the age of 18 :wow:

I wish these suiciders would choose to overdose rather than jump off of a building....A person minding their business could get hit/die... I read that overdosing is the least painful type of suicide.

Probably my biggest fear when it comes to my children. Every sector of life, society, shyt even just being a decent human is in freefall. You can argue it's always been that way...but now it's on a screen in your pocket on every app in real-time:sadcam:.

With "both sides" swinging a pendulum in increasingly myopic ways. You can no longer ingore what you don't like, you can't even get along with what you don't like...you must actively and continuously destroy what you don't like. And for us, that destruction will set us back 200 years.

You can't even build a black community because it's so frayed and damaged by our own ills in addition to whatever everyone else is putting on us. What's the point of success when you can't bring it home?

Sad days ahead and it's really scary trying to prepare your kids for the unknown :wow:

I think that point alone is huge. Society doesn't give a shyt about what women accomplish in their careers in terms of our collective value of them. When society sees adult women, there's an expectation of her being partnered with a man and a mother. Many women buy into this ideal, I'd imagine it's pretty damn difficult not to.

But that couldn't have been her problem though. She was beautiful.

Bro you're not lying. One thing I've learned just talking to people from all different walks of life is that alot of people are just lost and unhappy. I've seen 20 yr olds depressed because they feel they've failed at life already because they're not living the IG life they think they are. I've seen doctors in their residency unhappy and thinking about a career change because it's not truly what they wanted to do. But both give off the impression that everything is fine on the surface. Just watch people and your loved ones around you. Someone that seems that they have it all can be drowning on the inside. Not saying it's your job to fix them. But you could potentially steer them back ashore if you reach out.
