Reality wins everytime. I see so many folks get that wake up call thinking that they can run from reality chasing fantasies not realizing that what they are running from are their problems, themselves and etc. It's clear she has issues. You can still pursue your dreams while working a job you don't necessarily like. :yeshrug: that's how you're supposed to do. You don't quit your day job to pursue something that you don't even have yet without any form of income or support because if you fail, you gonna have to start all over again. Those gaps in employment are serious from a hiring perspective. The only thing that might save her is her age but even then, it's a competitive world and theres people way younger that are prepped up and coming for that spot. Folks overestimate themselves and underestimate the competition or what they are getting themselves into.

This social media trash gassing folks up to throw their lives away too. This is why it's important to be around grounded people that will let you know when you're fukking your life up or when you need to chill the fukk out

Co sign in my college days I worked in Social services. When shyt got heat the fan hard. Even the ugliest women could shallow there pride and find a dude to take care of them even if he looked like flavor flav. Dudes just had to get it how they live it. Twice as getting it if they were black too.

to be fair, I'm pretty sure she didn't quit her job to become a rapper

she quit her job and hiphop just so happened to be one of her hobbies that she probably had more time for since she was no longer confined to a 9-5

Everybody ain't built for clocking in day and night and slaving away for another person

even if it's 80k a year, when you realize our time is finite you realize freedom to do as you please is more important than money you won't be able to take with you when you're gone.
There are better self employment ways than rap and even that ain’t self employment when you on a white label.

I have no problem with her... The real reason why we can't get change today and society is stagnant is because of our relationship with money. People have been enslaved by the dollar. Call her stupid and everything else but she's living how she wants. A lot of people are too cowardly to do that. She has no dependents and no major financial responsibilities. She can "find herself"

If all you are fixated on is the loss of 80k a year you are mentaly enslaved. She isn't hurting anyone. All this fake outrage cuz nikkaz can't touch 80 themselves.

She's betting on herself. She's doing the right thing.
Except she isn't. She sounds like a new age flake. The only people getting away with new age flakiness as a full time gig are con artists, trust fund babies and the wives/mistresses of rich men.

Weinstein proved no one does it alone.

Her best bet is to hook up with a rich man or rich lesbian or rich poly group. Then she can have them buy her a rap career in like Asia, do that for a couple years.

As for her quitting her job, was that her choice or was she giving the option to resign or be fired?

She's the prime example of someone who can't cut it in the corporate world. And this isn't a knock on her because I get it, but she's the type I think about when some of these coli brehs talk their shyt about what everyone else should be doing - which generally involves following a specific (corporate) path. People like her tend to feel stifled and claustrophobic in more controlled environments and don't function well. And when forced to be there they end up being a drag on your team and force you to pick up the slack.

That said, being a full grown woman with a degree and a solid position in a highly competitive field leads me to believe this is more so related to mental illness than anything else. The fact that she made it as far as she did in her career and then dropped everything to basically follow a pipe dream says a lot. I heard some of her music and tbh it wasn't bad (from what I remember), but a smart - SANE - woman would've used her position and relative closeness to athletes, agents and other power players to gain traction in the entertainment industry in her SPARE time. Pursuing music doesn't take all day - most people have real jobs to pay the bills - and she would've been better off keeping her day job while trying to grow a following by night. Which should've been easy enough if she's the go-getter she claims to be.

Ain't even been a full year yet :picard:

The original thread said her life was 60 hours at salary monday through friday, but the weekends were free. she got drunk dyring the weekends.

She arrived to work two hours late and told her boss she was quitting. her boss didn't take her seriously and told her to sit down and do her job.

For him to tell her to sit down and do her job sounds like this wasn't the first time she'd complained about working. No are you sure no do you want to discuss this. Just an order.

This version of the story is that she'd only been at the job two weeks. WTF? Two weeks and she was ready to go Hollywood. Why Hollywood? And who was the best friend enabling her?

She only had $30??? Who paid for the ticket? And her choice for bnb was something with the name glamping in it.

She brought her crystals with her. She had crystals. And she mentions zodiac signs unironically.

Something is very wrong here. All of the shyt she's doing isn't hustling. It's escaping. But she's black. Only young white people get away with this shyt.

That's pretty much what LA is filled with....

And when they can't make it here or it's too expensive then they go back home....

I see it all the time...

ATLANTA has become the new "LA" for black folks.....

Not only for aspiring.rappers and.dream chasing exotic dancers...

But a lot of struggling actors and actresses have been lured there cause of Tyler Perry studios

Yet wind up working.eternally at the food court or selling some discoubted recyclable goods on POF
