She's the prime example of someone who can't cut it in the corporate world. And this isn't a knock on her because I get it, but she's the type I think about when some of these coli brehs talk their shyt about what everyone else should be doing - which generally involves following a specific (corporate) path. People like her tend to feel stifled and claustrophobic in more controlled environments and don't function well. And when forced to be there they end up being a drag on your team and force you to pick up the slack.

That said, being a full grown woman with a degree and a solid position in a highly competitive field leads me to believe this is more so related to mental illness than anything else. The fact that she made it as far as she did in her career and then dropped everything to basically follow a pipe dream says a lot. I heard some of her music and tbh it wasn't bad (from what I remember), but a smart - SANE - woman would've used her position and relative closeness to athletes, agents and other power players to gain traction in the entertainment industry in her SPARE time. Pursuing music doesn't take all day - most people have real jobs to pay the bills - and she would've been better off keeping her day job while trying to grow a following by night. Which should've been easy enough if she's the go-getter she claims to be.
Corporate America is extremely hard for Black folks. The transition into it is like stepping into hell for many. I don't think that should be understated.

Don't laugh. Lichelle was living how white kids live. White kids always claim they're broke, but their parents are paying their rent, their car, their credit card bills. It's only broke as in their families aren't paying $3000 for a new tv and the kids can't afford that working 7 days in 3 months.

But Lichelle was a suburban black girl pretending to be street because that's what the studio was selling. So she had a professional reason to be a studio gangster. In 10 more years she could have outright stated she's only playing a role, like Onika Minaj did. Born too soon.

How do you have an $80K job, and only have $60 to your name

Yo this chick pissed me the fukk off....
She only had the job two weeks. Didn't even get first paycheck.

She spent her weekends drunk.

I REALLY want to see what her social group looks like.

Oh I definitely get that. The nepotism, bureaucracy and covert racism alone is enough to make many want to fall back. But it's not always like that everywhere and this particular woman's job gave her access to the kind of connections most of us can only dream about. Her mistake was not parlaying that into a successful career on her own.

But like I said, I suspect some sort of mental illness is truly the culprit here given that she didn't even use her education/credentials to find work in a less stressful/difficult field and work on music in her spare time, she just abruptly burned all her bridges at once and dove headfirst into the great unknown with neither savings nor a plan. That's not just someone who simply grew tired of trying to navigate corporate America imo.

Reality wins everytime. I see so many folks get that wake up call thinking that they can run from reality chasing fantasies not realizing that what they are running from are their problems, themselves and etc. It's clear she has issues. You can still pursue your dreams while working a job you don't necessarily like. :yeshrug: that's how you're supposed to do. You don't quit your day job to pursue something that you don't even have yet without any form of income or support because if you fail, you gonna have to start all over again. Those gaps in employment are serious from a hiring perspective. The only thing that might save her is her age but even then, it's a competitive world and theres people way younger that are prepped up and coming for that spot. Folks overestimate themselves and underestimate the competition or what they are getting themselves into.

This social media trash gassing folks up to throw their lives away too. This is why it's important to be around grounded people that will let you know when you're fukking your life up or when you need to chill the fukk out

Most people in show business are running from their problems though

:snooze:

All she had to do is signed up on the coli & hit me and @Otis Kane Jr. And @getmoney310cpt Up about wannabe rappers and actors coming out here and ending up selling ass , working at carl jr's....

Hell even the native wannabe rappers in L.A. know they not getting on out here and have to hit the hood first to get approval

Secondly she is a female....record labels in 2018 not investing money in a female without having some big name male rapper co signing her...

Should have kept her job and on the weekends make her music and let her town show her love..

She might become another mya campbell out here
