I don't know why people here seem continuously shocked that people on social media are liars and frauds. Social media rewards attention seeking behavior and gets certain people hooked on the attention whether positive or negative. It has an incentive built in for the worst kind of behavior.

I value it as a screening tool because if I'm talking to someone who is on Twitter or the gram for hours a day then that tells me they aren't a serious person.
