You're right : sex and wars always been in the centers of society, but most ancient societies tried to canalize sexual energy, at least when it came to the masses. Today, people are told to do whatever they want and there are no consequences. So people are going wild, more wild than ever.

If you're trying to build an empire you have to be disciplined and keep the undisciplined from entering your circle.

I'd never be with a woman that wanted to "play the field" because certain STDs can go undetected only to surface later (check Syphilis), and I don't gamble with my health like that.

I think your view is rather limited in historical context. Men have been rather barbaric and cruel when it came to dealing with women.
From ritual rape and sacrifice to sensual based savagery. Men are definitely very cold blooded and brutal than women as history and the present have proven.

No it's true, I'll link the studies later but too much sex fukks up your brain and biochemistry in terms of ability to form attachments or bonds, I.e love. The names of the chemicals escape me. This affects both men and women though.

I've witnessed this in my personal life, the ones who have the most sex (I'm talking fiendish one night stands) weirdly have no 'good' friends or relationships really, it's a complete paradigm shift to what you would expect.

So yes, there is scientific evidence for not cuffing a slut or the male equivalent.
